Service was very poor room 108 was infested with bed bugs, I was woken up with multiple bites all over my body at midnight was given another room, room was very dusty and had what appeared to be a dry condom on floor, i tried to reason with owner about the price for a very sleepless night, but instead chose to stand his ground even when i showed him pictures of the bed bugs and videos of the bed bugs crawling in our sheets, and showing him the multiple bites all over my body,,,i don't recommend this motel if you see it bypass it, i give no star rating due to the poor service s infested beds with bugs

Clean room, friendly staff. Tropics Motor Hotel is among the least expensive motels in Indio; the property's well maintained and cared for, noticeably so in comparison to its' competiors.

I planned to give the motel 4 stars until I checked out. Checking in was great. I stayed Nov. 24, 25, 26. Frank is wonderful and knows all the history of the valley. The maid and laundry fellow were nice. I requested a non-smoking room, which this room was so designated. It smelled musty. I asked the maid if she had spray, and she sprayed an icky flowery scent. So I opened the windows and drapes and left for 4 hours. The room still smelled nasty. The room was clean enough and good enough for the low price. The mattress was good and the pillows were nice. The shower had lots of hot water and strong pressure. The shower head was low, which I like because I am short. If you're tall, you won't like that. No coffee maker, but I brought instant and a cup and used the microwave. Has a little fridge. Ice machine requires coins. When I checked out another man was on the desk. I told him that the room was supposed to be a non smoking room, but that people had smoked in it. He said that was impossible. I said that it stunk, but he argued that it couldn't. When I told him that he could get rid of the stink by washing the bed spread, spraying Fabreez on the upholstered chairs, and shampooing the carpet, he got mad at me. The weather was warm enough to swim. I had brought my swimming suit. The pool was disgustingly filthy. I will stay in Indio 2 or 3 nights every couple of weeks in the future. I will NOT ever stay here again. The rail road tracks are right across the blvd. I heard the freight trains all night. I don't...

This place really grew on me over the short time I stayed there while at Coachella. At first it was just a place for me and my new friend to hang out after the Coachella festival, but as the week went on it became like a second home. It is reasonably sized so unpacking my stuff such as my indian headband, hand moisturizer, and lipstick was no problem. The bathroom was a little cozy and the ventilation was not so good so it steamed up so much that a thick layer of steam formed onto the mirror but that was actually what we were looking for. The floor was a little slippery and I fell one time but that might be because of the lotion on my feet. There was good wifi in the room so I was able to post some good Instigrams of me and my friend at the festival. The ceiling was a little low so when my friend and I practicing me going on his shoulders I bumped my head a little....OW. My hairbrush mysteriously disappeared on the last day so I'm not sure if a maid or someone stole it so that was unfortunate. There was a fridge that we could use to store out beef jerky and peanut butter sandwiches, even a freezer for the ice pops I brought. There wasn't a garbage so I didn't know where to put my eyebrow pluckings or toenail clippings so I just threw them out the window. They charged my friend extra since his Shasta Chinook RV took up two spots which is fair I guess. The walls are little thin so the people in the room overheard me saying "I am naughty" and asked me about it the next day which was uncomfortable. Overall it was a pretty good motel, especially considering the fact that I didn't have to pay for it. I hope other people are able to enjoy it the way I did next year...

I'll never rent here the manager was rude screaming at me almost jumped in my car pointing and screaming charged me 20 for a family member helping me move my stuff to another room Cuz the office wanted our room for someone else wanted to charge 250 for smoking, which I smoked out side, but because the smoke went in the room he said the carpet would have to be shampoo and the walls painted. So to stop this disrespectful man from yelling I paid an extra 50 so thats90 plus 50 left to the store and our key didn't work he locked our door and wanted an extra 50 for my cousin helping me move or we couldn't get in the room. We never slept in the room it was around 11 at Nighy and we didn't have all this money he wanted so we where escorted by these 2 homeless looking housekeepers so we could get our stuff out. Long story short paid all that money never slept in the bed took a shower or even watched TV. We ended up sleeping in our car and over 100 out of pocket. These people need the police or someone to shuttle down or and if you go on line to reserve a room there they will give you one room that has been remodeled but the rest of the rooms are crappie. DON'T RENT HERE THESE PEOPLE ARE DANGEROUS AND...
