Had to go on a business trip and needed a place for one of our kitties to stay. The recent rescue cat & our main cat do not, as yet, get along. Too hard for my elderly mom to contend with taking care of two cats under this situation.
Thus began my search for where to take one of the cats. I abhorred the traditional type of "boarding" (cages), and stumbled on Club Cat though a Google search. So glad I did!
Shana & her team are so dedicated to their cat & human clients. Please - if you are considering boarding your cat, go check out this place. Call Shana and she will give you a tour. That’s what I did before committing. The facility is clean, organized, functional & adorable. No detail overlooked.
Honestly, this is the type of cat hotel I would have made if only I were so clever. You really need to see this place. The guests (cats) are genuinely cared for. Shana’s attention to detail is key & a blessing for even the most discriminating of cat parents.
One of the best things: being able to view my cat 24/7 via web cam. Not just so I could keep an eye on him, but you have to figure, only a place that meticulously & kindly cares for their guests would go as far as to allow placement of cameras in the suites.
Many times, I just so happened to check in on Buddy and saw Shana herself or someone else attending to Buddy. They treated him kindly and petted him, and this gave me such peace of mind. Worth every penny.
My package (you can add some things ala cart) included face-timing my cat. In my case, I think I got more out of it than Buddy. But how lovely that at the very least, your pets can hear your familiar voice (and see you, if they look into the iPad).
Shana is meticulous and will heed your instructions for feeding, etc. I was able to bring Buddy’s small scratcher as well as his favorite bed, Costco robe & toys. She wants your cats to feel safe and comfortable, and send little email updates during their stay.
I also appreciated her high standards to benefit all the guests (like having your vaccination certs). Do make sure you attend to this ahead of time. Read her thoughtful instructions & ask her anything.
I really felt like I made the best choice by choosing Club Cat, & would not hesitate to recommend her facility to others. I hope she does well and opens up more in neighboring cities. I look forward to...
Read moreScam, they’ll take your deposit and deny your pet on the day you arrive. Forcing you to completely change your plans.. Kris has had really hard time with his surgery, and this was supposed to be his vacation. They were scared of him, and knew full well he didn’t have fleas, but searched a searched for anything they could claim was possibly flea dust. Meanwhile there are 3 different cats that came in while I was getting checked, gave them a 2 second ya-ya kinda check and sent them in…. After he had different 2 flea treatments in the last month, had been inside the whole time, and been checked by the vet 4 days prior saying he was clear, just to be sure. He clearly doesn’t have fleas, but I could tell from the vibe as soon as I walked in that they were going to try and deny our stay. They’ll keep the money of course, and we were forced to make last minute arrangements with another boarding place. I was very honest when I said he can be a little scared sometimes and can hiss when he feels uncomfortable, yes he’s not as easy to deal with as some cats, but he’s not that bad. To deny us our stay because of that, and then make up some bogus excuse is pretty low. The manager or owner idk, was so terrified of my cat, that I knew he could sense the fear in her. Just because I said he might hiss at you. Someone like that should not be working with , if you can’t treat every cat with love and compassion then go work at the DMV or something. I was really surprised to see how uncomfortable they are with cats at a place called Club Cat. Tbh I’m actually glad he won’t be staying there, in a place that treats him with fear and contempt rather than love. Just wish they would give us...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a place to board our cat while we travel and we happen to find Club Cat. We were kind of nervous about leaving our cat alone since our cat is pretty spoiled and attached to us and we don't know how she'll do at a boarding place. One thing for sure is that Club Cat is not a cage, it's a nice clean private room for our cat.
They send us a postcard update with pictures every other day, they take a note whether our cat ate & pooped and noted if there's anything concerning. There's a 24/7 live webcam so we can check our cats at anytime. All of the staff members were very friendly and they professionally dealt with my concerns about our cat. Our cat was very shy and nervous and she refused to eat for the first day, but the staff at Club Cat assured us that there's nothing to worry about and they definitely took a good care of our cat. I asked one of the staff for a favor to help our cat eat by placing the food bowl inside our cat's hiding spot and the staff did it right away.
We're more confident about having our cat stay at Club Cat when we travel and will most likely only trust Club Cat for our cat boarding need. We just hope that our cat doesn't get too nervous on her...
