DO NOT USE! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE BY MANAGEMENT!
Details: My mother passed away this week. My family and myself were driving about 10-13 hours out of state to attend her funeral. I booked two rooms. One for myself, husband and two small kids. The second room for my 4 ADULT CHILDREN! All over the age of 18 but under 21years old. My sister also got a room at the same hotel so we could all be there together. My “kids” left before me and were basically already there in Jax as I was on the road. I called the hotel and was letting them know that they were arriving “early” around 4pm and I didn’t know how to check them in with me NOT being there. The MANAGER kept raising her voice at me saying that anyone under 21 is a child and not allowed at the hotel unsupervised. Keep in mind that TWO of my adult children are currently in the military. Now, back to the story. I tried to explain that I understand the hotels policy and was there any way to make any accommodation or exceptions. She stated that they don’t normally do that but if I send her an email with my id, card info and a statement basically allowing the kids to check in early so they can charge my card than that would be fine. Okay, great. I then asked her if she would not only like my info but my grown kids ids as well that way she would know who the people checking in are and would have all of their info on file. She then freaked out and was like imma have to talk to my GM to verify if I can do that and then having yall give the room to kids and let them party in this hotel blah blah blah… no matter how much i tried to explain the situation that I was just trying to provide their info not let them be there all night alone… as adults not not adults …. but I didn’t mind giving her any of my info she just kept cutting me off and talking over me and being absolutely rude and intolerable. I even tried to say it’s okay don’t worry about checking the “kids” in and that my “kids” can just stay in my sisters room until I get there. Not sleep in there… just hang out in her room with her…. Until I got there…. My husband got on the phone and tried to deescalate the situation because she was obviously determined to make it look like we were just pos people trying to let young adults party and destroy their hotel. But my husband talked to her and she understood everything. Problem handled right…. Wrong… my sister arrived and tried to check in and the manager wouldn’t let my sister check in because the “kids” were going to stay with her in the room all night according to the management. When they weren’t. They canceled my sisters room and then called me and was nasty to my husband and my husband canceled BOTH rooms. Meanwhile we have my mothers funeral to attend that next morning. So, thanks for that. As if me driving 13 hours down to Florida to bury my MOTHER wasn’t hard enough… now to deal with added stress because your management staff can NOT shut up and listen long enough to understand that we were trying everything to be compliant. But that’s okay…. We went to a completely different hotel down the road with a better price, better reviews and better amenities. Yall lost out on THREE ROOMS due to that managers ignorance. And I will never try to give my business to that hotel or brand again. But I wanted to make a very detailed review for the next person so they can see what mistake I made and go...
Read moreThe clerk at the desk name MRLEEN was very disrespectful, me and my partner came too check in our room mind you we stayed here a few days ago prior before & we decided to come back too stay again my partner said she was acting funny when he first walked up to desk as he started giving the info for the reservation she got his id she kept being rude cutting him off when he would talk when trying too give her all the right info then tried to correct him on how too pronounce his name then she started questioning about me the guest of the room then asked for my id so I give it too her because I know that u gotta be at least 18+ too rent & I’m 20 then she looks at my id then ask if I’m 21 as she’s reading my id she can see I’m 20 years old just tryna be smart asfk then she started saying she can’t rent the room too him because I’m not over 21 and said guess has too be 21 then it’s like what if we had kids or family members with us and they not 21 we still wouldn’t be able to stay? then we mentioned how we was just here a couple days ago she just started being very rude & hostile then tried saying we was being belligerent & we never once raised our voice or nothing we gave her everything she asked for just for her too start getting aggressive and throwing our ids & card on the counter and say oh well I can’t rent it too you because she’s not 21 and not even letting us ask questions then started repeating call your 3rd party too get refund we ended up calling because obviously we didn’t wanna stay no more after we felt unwelcome they ended up calling the hotel and she told them same things she told us and they said they never heard of this kind of policy and it wasn’t on the website too book then she like no no I don’t rent to nobody under 21 then said refund us and they ended up refunding now gotta wait 5-7 days for our money back then as we was leaving she said 1 bad review won’t do nothing and laugh then said I’m glade yall didn’t stay here it’s like she just had some kind of animosity towards us and that was our 2nd time there she was just very rude and disrespectful cutting us off when we would talk just a rude person she needs to be fired or need too gain some work experience all over again because she sucks and should have never got the job do not rent here they are also very nosy we only been once and they was watching our ever move we was gonna stay once more because it was close too airport and we had a flight...
Read moreLet me start by saying I don't like making negative comments about business I patrron. The night we checked in I contacted the hotel letting them know we would be arriving late and it would be around 1:30 to 2:AM . After checking in as I was hanging my clothes I realized there were wet towels hanging in the space for clothes and in the bathroom. I let the fellow at the front desk know and he was apologetic, even offered to move us but I was tired and declined his offer which I now regret. Then I realized the linens had not been changed from the previous stay but I couldl live with that. My son brought my Escort radar detector in with us something I don't do. That morning we left for our meeting at 7:15 Am and I didn't think about it again. When we returned after our meeting that evening the room smelled like someone had been smoking weed in it as did the following day. We checked out at 8:am Friday morning we had one last meeting after it concluded and we were preparing for long drive home I ralized My Radar Detector wasn't in my car. I called the hotel and it wasn't at the desk, they checked the room and said it wasn't in the room. My son informed he had noticed it wasn't on the bedside table where he had put it when we got back to the room the first night but thought I had picked it up on the way out the first morning and taken it to my car. Apparently when we were out someone came into our room and decided my Radar Detector was something they needed more than me. Moral of the story don't leave anything of value in your room when you leave for an extended period of time. I'm out of pocket over $500.00. Needless to say I will not be staying here on my next two returning visits this year. The staff is friendly but the loss of trust cannot be regained.
