UPDATE: The owner reached out to ask me to update my review. To rethink what I'm saying because they are a small business. I'm not - It really bothers me that the 'small business owner' thinks I should rethink what I felt about their business. I'm spending money that I work for - I chose to go to their restaurant and expected good service and food. I didn't get that - it was sporadic and I spent over $100 in one day there. While breakfast was okay the fact that the evening didn't go well was very disappointing and to me it should have been as good or better than the morning. I'm putting this out there so that if there's someone who is trying to decide on where to go eat - take this into consideration. You are spending your money and should know what you are getting into. It's a shame that the owner felt WE owed THEM a better review. ....and they expected, and literally asked me to rethink my review.
This was a cute French cafe. We went twice on Friday. Breakfast - they did well. Hubby couldn't eat or drink due to medical appointments. Pistachio latte was awesome. I also had a mango pastry that was good. Ordered a to go sandwich because hubby's medical was all day. I ate the sandwich at the hospital- goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and arugula on a baguette with balsamic. It was good even a few hours after I got it - kept it in my backpack. Hubby wanted soup for dinner - we decided to try this cafe after another let down at a different restaurant. I ordered French onion. He ordered tomato bisque. We both ordered large pistachio lattes. We also ordered two slices of pistachio cheesecake that they said was homemade - to go. I saw the girl making the lattes in small cups and told her they were supposed to be large. She poured them into large cups and just added more cream - basically diluted them. When I looked at the receipt I noticed we didn't get the happy hour bogo on the drinks or anything else. We waited over 45 minutes for the soup - asked about it at half hour and still waited 15 - they forgot about us. The kid that brought it out didn't bring me a soup spoon. My French onion didn't have cheese on the soup but dried up cheese on the bread - like it was old. My soup was barely lukewarm. Hubby's tomato bisque was hot. His tomato bisque was really good. We told one of the girls that the soup was cold - she told the kitchen - they brought me a baguette with melted cheese. I told the kid that it was the soup that was cold and he went back into the kitchen and brought out a bowl of soup with no cheese on it. We just decided to leave. We had the pistachio cheesecake later in evening - it was awful. Tasted like a refrigerator- had to have sat in cold uncovered with other food. Crust was too thick. Too hard. So disappointed that we spent $18 on two slices that were not good. Could have had frozen from Publix cheaper. I'm trying to be fair on rating - morning crew was great. Crew after 4 leaves a lot to be desired- no clear 'management' or organization. Errors on orders. Forgetting key items - soup with no spoon. Etc. We both agree if we went for dinner and experienced that we would not have gone back. Breakfast and morning crew were good. Food - depends on...
Read moreWhat can you say bad about the French cafe; great food, nice atmosphere and friendly service. However, I feel I must say that the service is getting worse. There are more young people working here and I don’t think they can handle it. I first ordered two black house coffees. They weren’t brought out after 5-10 mins so I asked a young man if I need to pick it up somewhere and he carried on brought me these two “coffees”. Turned out it wasn’t finished brewing and was essentially water. So I went back inside and asked for two other cups to see if their coffee has changed or if something was wrong with what we were given. She told me he brought me unfinished coffee. Ok, thanks for clarifying that. Later, I ordered a baguette sandwich and was brought the wrong one, not a big deal. Honestly my expectations over the past few months aren’t really high because seems like it’s frequently something and well, I’m not too picky with their food. However, try asking something to one of the these servers, at this particular restaurant, and good luck. I ordered take out for a friend before leaving and one of the kids was bringing it out swinging it in little helicopters in the plastic bag… 😂😒 OK, I guess I can handle that, although not appropriate whatsoever. Then I noticed the sweets I ordered weren’t in the bag, so I asked him about it and he said he’d check. Watched him walk around the restaurant looking for other things to do (it wasn’t busy). So I asked another young lady, she said she’d check. She brought me back a pastry bag and when I opened it, it was incomplete. When I told her I paid for more, she awkwardly said I’m not sure we have more, but I’ll check. So she came back and brought me finally, what I ordered. This should have been handled differently, and told me “can I replace one of your items or can we issue you a refund?” Not try to trick me simply because she’s nervous handling it. Just poorly handled, very slow, and insincere. I prefer to visit the original mandarin location (although also slow) and Atlantic beach, which seems the most consistent. The difference in Atlantic beach is that there seems to be an older crew working there with a little more experience &...
Read moreLe Petit Paris truly exceeded our expectations with an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the charming ambiance whisked us away to a Parisian dream. The delectable chicken salad was a refreshing start, bursting with vibrant flavors and perfectly tender pieces of chicken. The lobster bisque, a velvety indulgence, left us craving more with its rich taste and delightful depth.
For the main course, my wife opted for the breakfast croissant sandwich, and it was a revelation. The combination of Swiss cheese, crispy bacon, and fluffy scrambled eggs nestled within a buttery croissant was a symphony of taste and textures. She couldn’t stop raving about it! As for the different flavored macarons, they were like tiny bites of heaven – each one boasting its own unique burst of flavor and a delicate, melt-in-your-mouth consistency.
And then, the pièce de résistance – the chocolate hazelnut plait. This dessert was a masterpiece, a harmonious dance of rich chocolate and nutty hazelnut flavors, expertly woven into a flaky, decadent pastry. It was a fitting finale to an exceptional meal.
The attentive staff at Le Petit Paris added a warm and personal touch to the entire experience, making us feel like cherished guests. The attention to detail in every dish, along with the restaurant’s inviting atmosphere, made our visit truly special.
