A taste of Spain with a Cuban twist! Casa Iberica is the perfect spot to indulge in authentic Spanish and Cuban cuisine, making it an excellent choice for a Valentine’s Day celebration or any special occasion. This gem, led by the talented Chef Odiley Torres, brings the vibrant flavors of Spain to life with traditional ingredients, masterful spices, and a touch of culinary artistry.

With a spacious dining area that accommodates over 80 guests and plans for a bakery and herb garden on the horizon, Casa Iberica is a must-visit destination for food lovers. Don’t miss their Valentine’s Day special—a perfectly cooked salmon with orange sauce, served with creamy mashed potatoes, tender asparagus, a bottle of wine, and dessert. It’s the ultimate romantic dinner!

Here’s what we enjoyed during our visit:

Appetizers:

• Spicy Potatoes: Crispy, flavorful, and packed with a subtle kick. • Cod Croquettes: Perfectly fried with a creamy, savory center. • Yuca Frita: Golden and crispy, served with fresh garlic for a burst of flavor.

Main Courses:

• Salmon with Orange Sauce: A Valentine’s special that didn’t disappoint. The salmon was flaky and tender, complemented by the sweet and tangy orange sauce. • Paella de Mariscos (Seafood Paella): A beautifully presented dish filled with fresh seafood and vibrant saffron rice. • Camarón al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp): Succulent shrimp in a rich, garlicky sauce that was absolutely addictive.

Desserts & Drinks:

• Cuban Coffee: Bold and rich—an excellent pick-me-up. • Crema Catalana: A silky cream brûlée with a perfectly caramelized top. • Flan: Smooth, creamy, and a perfect sweet ending.

Located at 7035 Philips Hwy Suite 3, Jacksonville, FL 32216, Casa Iberica offers not just incredible food but an unforgettable dining experience. Make sure to check it out—you’ll feel like you’re savoring the flavors of Spain all over again. Follow them at @casaiberica_fusionrestaurant for updates and specials! Shoutout to Maxi and all the community heroes at this venue. My husband was born in Hialeah, Florida and he grew up eating some of the best Cuban food in the state. We were so happy to be able to celebrate in the nostalgic flavors of the cuisine offered here. Hubby ordered the roast pork, black beans, and yucca. He loved the black beans here. It was well seasoned and had the perfect texture. We did indulge in the classic café con leches and some buttered toast. It also came with a side of honey. I ordered some of my favorites too. I had Carnitas Fritas De Puerco, yellow rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. Maxi brought me two types of hot sauce. My favorite ended up being the Housemade pepper sauce. It is a a thick pepper mash that adds the perfect spicy kick to any savory dish. This was a generous amount of pork. It was tender, well seasoned, and flavorful! Hubby was right one money about the beans! No gritty texture at all and to me, that is a sign of a skilled chef! The yellow rice was cooked well and every individual grain was giving love! The plantains were my guilty pleasure. It was soft, sweet, a great golden color, and luscious! It balances the savory with a little sweet. I love alternating bites of the sides with the pork. My senses were never bored. Boy, did we get full! And since it was my first visit, of course I had to sample a dessert. We picked the rice pudding. It was soft, sweet, thick pudding with a dusting of fragrant cinnamon. What a lovely meal!!! Maxi was so sweet, welcoming, and even sang along with some of the lovely salsa music playing overhead. A free concert! I'm so blessed! Great warm atmosphere, nostalgic flavors, and all presented by a precious staff. And a side note, there is parking in the front and a large parking lot in the back. I am already planning what I want to try...

We decided to pop into this Cuban restaurant to taste some local food. It was a great decision. The food was a great experience and tasted really good. But what sold us the most was the service. I asked the waitress to surprise me, and she picked the best combinations. Sweet-Cruncy Plantains, Salt-Ground beef dish (can't remember the name) with Raisins (sounds weird but worked well), and a go-between was the black beans and rice. My husband had the garlic aioli chicken. That was tender and really flavorful. We finished it off with a Cuban version of Creme Brule. The food came out really fast and it was just a nice dining experience. I'll get the names of the dishes and update this post.
