Order: Gyro Price: (Honestly not sure, we also bought a bunch of groceries and paid all together) Pros: Lots of middle eastern food that is hard to find in most standard grocery stores, the gyro was really good Cons: The cooked food section is way in the back and not always staffed, you may have to actually ask for help, the store can be a bit cluttered
Thoughts: First of all Kourosh should be viewed as a food market (similar to a grocery store) with a food stall inside and it not an actual restaurant. There are no places to sit, all of the food is to go, and it is still really good. The grocery store itself has a lot of different ethnic items that you cannot find in most standard American grocery stores, and what they do have is noticeably cheaper than most grocery stores. We took a while to look around the grocery store picked out some things that we couldn't get other places and then made our way back to where they serve make the ready to eat food.
After waiting for just a few moments we realized no one was actually working there and went and found a store employee. After asking them if the ârestaurantâ portion was still open we found that one of them would have to go back there to make the gyro. Despite the confusion the gyro actually turned out really well. It had your standard gyro meat, lettuce, onion, tomato, and more. It was definitely packed full of toppings.
While I will definitely think of this place more as a grocery store, I'm definitely going to keep it in mind as a place to grab a quick, good lunch if I am ever on that side of town. We will definitely be back at some point to pick up groceries and I'm sure we'll grab a gyro at...
Read moreThe young lady that works there is very nice but the guy that was there tonight 9/4 is so rude! Right off the bat he was being rude to me! 5 days ago i bought Vegeta that expires this month. I also bought Turmeric but it also tasted funny and doesnât have an expiration date, so how do I know, it isnât also expired?! Went back two days later and the lady told me its ok to bring them back to her. And she apologized about it. But this man was so unbelievably short, snobby, and rude. He talked to me as if I was someone beneath him! Very nasty attitude. I was going to buy some stuff, walked out without anything. Noteworthy that the EXPIRED Vegeta is still on the...
