As a well-traveled Washingtonian, I have associates and friends near and far. A dear friend to me; the one that believed in me when I would doubt myself currently resides in Fla. And I'm currently located in DC. Well for her birthday this year, I wanted to do more than the usual... you know the "gift card, bouget of flowers, a phone call and promises of a visit soon." As I consulted online for unique ideas, Divine Desserts by Tamara, a GOD send, crossed my screen. I emailed Divine Desserts by Tamara for a consultation and immediately Tamara replied and set up a phone call follow up for a personal consultation. The consultation went well! I explained how dear my friend is to me and within a very short period, Divine Desserts by Tamara came up with a grand idea!! A birthday cake AND flowers. Wait, remember when I said I wanted to do something other than the usual... well this bouquet of flowers was no ordinary bouquet of flowers. AND, I had never sent my dear friend a birthday cake before. Again, I remind you that I wanted other than the usual. That's when Divine Desserts by Tamara showed out... Divine Desserts by Tamara created a one of a kind, in my dear friend’s fav color, a birthday cake... AND the bouget of flowers were cupcakes... OMG!!! The proof is in the photos. Divine Dessert by Tamara! I ordered a birthday cake from “Divine Dessert by Tamara” for my birthday. I have always loved the combination of almond and rum flavors and asked Tamara if she could bake that type of cake for me. She immediately offered options and customized my request.

The cake was amazingly delicious, very moist, fresh, and simply perfect! Both flavors, almond and rum, were outstanding and in perfect balance. There were also fresh almonds in the mix as well as covering the upper layer of the cake as a beautiful topping. The cake I had in mind came true exactly as I had dreamed it!

We ended up ordering a second Almond Rum cake for my husband’s birthday the next month! We forgot to place the order ahead of time but even when it was a last-minute rush order, Tamara was still very kind and accommodated our request so we could have our amazingly delicious cake on time for his birthday.

Absolutely the BEST...the BEST service, BEST communication and BEST custom cake we have ever had. I set the challenge for Tamara to create a Champaign cake with a Magnolia flower on top. Without a doubt Tamara nailed it. It was a birthday cake and everyone loved it. Looked amazing, it was rich and light. The butter cream icing infused with champaign as well as the cake itself. We will certainly be returning for our wedding cake and any additional special occasions that we have along the way. Ordering was easy and Tamara spoke with me to make sure she had everything accounted for on the list. She took it from there and the cake was perfect and on time. Highly recommended 100% all around great. If the desert you need is important, Tamara is the one you need...
