First off - the employees and service here are INCREDIBLE. The staff are friendly, patient, informed about all of the drinks and offer edits based on what you’re looking for. They are doing an amazing job and deserve a raise.
This morning I went to get my latte and the wonderful girl standing outside in the drive thru in the sun with no covering but nevertheless a huge smile on her face, had a bandaid over the bridge of her nose. Because I come to this location a lot I say, omg what happened to your nose? Isn’t there a piercing there? She says, “uhm yes mam we are covering them now. We want to look our best for customers. Just one piercing per person.”
My face got hot. That kind of hot where you have just learned about something so stupid you wonder if you’re in actual reality.
Executive level employees at Starbucks, go to therapy. The fact that you would implement this rule as if it will ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING HELPFUL FOR ANYONE. Like yall cannot be for real. All it does is make people even more uncomfortable at work, adds yet another cost for your employees that you won’t cover having to put bandaids all over their face every day, and makes customers if anything more weirded out wondering why all those bandaids are there.
It’s like these power hungry executives are deathly allergic to doing something that would help your employees. Y’all have such low self worth and control issues that you refuse to recognize (see go to therapy sentence.) and your employees pay the price with you sending these controlling and pointless rules down to make you feel good and like you have some form of control.
Bunch of losers running the show while your staff continue to show up to work with a smile on their face and low key have your back about your stupid rules. THEY SHOULD WALK OUT ON YALL.
I’m sorry but in a world that is flailing, I think small things can really make a difference. I hope this rule gets changed. Let people exist. And if you lose some customers over it, I truly think the company with the billions of dollars it will still...

Since my recent relocation to Jacksonville's Best Side, I have frequently frequented this here Starbucks location. On more than one occasion, I've had to stop at another location on my way to work to procure a decent and relatively satisfying cup of coffee after purchasing a dismally disappointing cup of coffee from this location. It's as if I've been handed a near-four-dollar cup of hot, brown water. I consistently order Pike Place because I like it strong and dark and I know what I'm going to get. Or at least, I should. And it's not like I'm ordering ahead and my coffee is sitting on the counter a long time before I arrive. In fact, I've started ordering ahead before putting my pants on and fighting traffic through a good five stop lights to get there and I still wind up waiting 10 minutes for my drink. Either the "barista" is just pouring whatever they feel like pouring (Blonde Roast? Yuck.) or they're not dosing the brew properly. Or they're not actually dumping and replacing the grinds before they brew the next batch. Either way, I'm growing tired of the crapshoot. Few things are more disappointing than waiting 10 minutes for something that should definitely be ready when you arrive just to find it severely lacking. Most of the partners are friendly, though. So that's gotta count for...
Read moreThis is my first poor experience with this Starbucks location. Disclaimer: I will be petty with this review. February is Black History Month (celebrated 365/366)… this establishment had only white employees on staff, no one spoke to me when I entered. I am not white. I counted 6 people in Starbucks attire/uniform, my order was placed and paid for ahead of time, I was just picking up. However, the way the counter is setup, it seems inappropriate to reach for your order, plus it could possibly not be yours. So I politely waited as I could see orders were being made for other customers. 2 Black women were seated and 1 white officer was waiting for an order he had just walked in and placed. I waited several minutes, no one made eye contact with me, purposely did not acknowledge my presence nor ask me anything. 2 whites women walked in and was immediately acknowledged and spoken to. I abruptly reached over counter and grabbed my order. No one said anything, no thank you, I apologize, I’ll be with you, come again, nothing. The worst customer service ever received from Starbucks and I frequent this place regularly locally and while out of town. I am very disappointed. However, I will say my order was made correctly and...
