LA FUSTA was a bustaa. Sorry to say, but this was my first time going to this establishment, which I saw many good reviews, so I believe that because of the special day being sunday(MOTHER'S DAY).they were not well prepared for so much confusion,so I'm rating my bad experience on one day,but I will be back to try and give a better review on a slower day.For one was a small place and parking was challenging on tonelle Avenue, in new jersey.for this particular day.It started off with 2 waiters coming for our orders ,we told the second waiter that we put our order of drinks and appetizers with the first waiter. Never served the bread, butter, or the famous chimi churi sauce.i believe you have to pay for bottle water because they never brought regular water out,so we continued to ask for more bottled water š§ cause it goes fast in our party.lol..the appetizers were not bad but as you look at the picture of the fried calamari plate it was more lettuce than calamari ( a rabbit would've enjoyed that dish) they must've been running short on calamari. Another suggestion if when ordering grilled Argentinian meat plate and you don't eat intestines, ask for no intestines cause it brings the most, and one of other meats which have to say were very good. Plus, the chimi churi sauce was delicious. As well as the salad was plenty with all you can imagine and very healthy and delicious. Oh yes,and the shrimp soup was not bad. My Personal recommendation is this place to book on holidays or special occasions not recommended maybe on a regular day they might be better š¤.we paid over $200, not worth it .Sorry to say very expensive, but it was a special day, and they also had another limited menu, not their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst, I will say this is not a WHITE TABLE CLOTH Resteraunt, but the tablecloths are white, The Resteraunt name really says a lot because they WHIP your food up. I've been to many. This food was terrible. I will never go to this restaurant again or anything close to it. The chicken empanada was terrible poor qualiy. I couldn't even pick it up because it was soggy. So I needed a fork to eat my empanadas????? Never had an Empanada like that, and I've eaten all over the world. Beef empanada was fried more appropriate, but the beef used was poor quality. The spinach empanada was clearly the one that you see coming out the shell it wasn't good either. Next , the shrimps in garlic sauce a total of 6 for 22.50, which was also horrible, and a side order of spinach was not edible. I couldn't eat it. I literally couldn't swallow the food. And a bottle of pellegrino cost 8.25? That cost 4 times the amount as one bottle in a 12 pack. Then they rush you to leave. The waiter didn't have an understanding of the menu. For example, if you dont have something available on the menu what is the most popular dish or anything you suggest is the job of the waiter. The waiters and staff did not speak english enough to suggest anything in the menu. White Table Cloth Restaurants don't have 5 to 8 men waiters and busboys standing by the bar talking. Nobody greets you at the door. They greet you at Applebee's. For those who have eaten at AUTHENTIC WHITE TABLE CLOTH RESTAURANTS knows this is a 2.5 star restaurant at best. There's an OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE not too far from this place that's probably better. Oh yeah, I forgot the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moredisappointed after 30 years as a customer. I have been a customer of this restaurant for a long time, Initially on the original " la fusta " in Elhmurst, Queens, NJ and than later at this one in North Bergen. I was told by an acquaintance that he had a bad experience less than a year ago and I did not believe it, in fact , I was mad when he said that because I was a loyal customer of the restaurant and I had sent numerous people over the years there when they asked me for good Argentinian food. I was there on 3/27.21 and for the first time, I went home dissatisfied with the quality of the food, first time ever in 30 years, it made me sad and I felt I lost something that I had as mine, my restaurant, I saw my daughter grow year after year going to this restaurant. We always order the Argentinian parrillada and as an appetizer empanadas, let me tell you that of the 3 empanadas ordered, only the fried one was cooked, the others you can tell the dough was raw , we ended up opening them and just left them there. We ordered the meat medium and there was not a drop of juice or redness in it, no taste at all. the blood sausage was rubbery when usually ( as if it was boiled ), honestly, the first time in 30 years that I go home disappointed, I think the restaurant is leaning more towards being a central American restaurant and not as an authentic Argentinian restaurant as I knew it, nothing wrong to change the type of cuisine , but as I said before, I was expecting what I knew and I did not get it for first time, so I was not happy, nor was my family...
