This is a one of a kind boutique hotel. It calls itself a motel but I think it’s far too special to have that demotion. I and friends from Canada stayed here after a day in Joshua Tree National Park. This place is in a great location with lots of places to enjoy local color within walking distance. Assuredly the perfect spot to decompress. We found this place online and the owner was wonderful, over the phone, to book our stay. Everything went exactly as she’d said it would regarding receiving necessary gate codes, etc. We were not disappointed on arrival; this place is spectacularly special. Literally, a hidden oasis that has been thoughtfully, artistically created to provide a very unique zen experience. We loved the secluded, quiet vibe and it was so beautiful. We used the suite and one of the regular rooms. The suite was a two level masterpiece with plenty of seating, a small kitchen and carefully chosen art pieces that elevate the ambiance. It has picture windows that provide a dynamite view and you’ve got the option to draw blinds for privacy. The beds and linens were so comfortable that my Canadian friend said her husband got the best night sleep here; out of their entire trip to California. My room was perfect. Warm, so comfortable, and with a thoughtful artistic touch. The architectural details of modern, mixing hard and soft with an Asian zen/Americana 50’ vibe. The icing on the cake was my golden retriever was also welcome. He thoroughly enjoyed having a safe, enclosed area to chill with his humans. For sure, the next trip to the 29 Palms side of Joshua Tree will include another stay here. Highly recommend here for a very unique, relaxed, pet...
Read moreWhat a lovely place to stay if you're in Joshua Tree visiting the nearby national park. It is conveniently located very nearby the main commercial street, the national park visitor center and the main entrance to the park. Entering and leaving was made very easy by the dutiful staff. The grounds themselves are nestled right by the main roadway but enclosed by a private wall. The automatic gate to enter and park on the grounds was very fun to use. The entire style of the location is rustic modern and honestly whomever designed this place deserves significant praise, it's lovely and captures the Neill Young kind of vibe I was hoping to experience in Joshua Tree. My suite, which was very spacious and comfortable was also meticulously designed and I thought the design details were exceptional. The bathroom and shower were particularly breathtaking. Some notes I would offer are that while I felt my privacy was intact, I found it odd that there were porthole windows on each door at about average male height. I also thought it was not insignificantly loud, though my room was closest to the roadway where that would be expected. I loved the dimmer switches but the main lighting in each room was a bit too dim overall. And while I respect the choice to not have carpeting from a design and cleaning standpoint, a few carpets to allow guests to have a non cold place to touch their feet to the ground would be welcome. Overall though I really loved this place and would recommend it...
Read moreMy stay at the motel was an absolute delight. Imagine unwinding in a peaceful haven, perfect for a rejuvenating weekend escape.||The property boasts a charming gated courtyard, adorned with sculptures, cacti, and the gentle sounds of the koi pond with a fountain. This oasis offers a multitude of cozy nooks, inviting you to connect with fellow travelers or simply lose yourself in a good book with a cup of coffee in hand.||Rooms|Suite 5 offered a generous living area, complete with a kitchenette and a truly expansive bedroom featuring a unique outdoor shower. There were a few issues with the bathroom though - Limited toiletries storage: While convenient countertop space was at a minimum, the bathroom did not have an area to store my toiletries. It would be ideal to have a hook or a set of shelves for a guest to use. For guests staying in Suite 5 - it's important to advise that obtaining hot water in the mornings might require running the faucet for a brief period. Considering California's current water conservation efforts, the implementation of an instant hot water system in Suite 5 could be an environmentally friendly solution, minimizing water waste during the initial wait for hot water. The shower provided a refreshing experience with conveniently dispensed shampoo and conditioner. While a dedicated shelf for personal toiletries would be a welcome addition, the current setup might be a space-saving measure.|Hotel...
