Really horrific experience for me on this occasion. I had stayed at this property before way in the past and although I usually only stay at Garden Inn or Homewood, I decided to stay at this Hampton this time because I was using my points. Checked in around 10pm and discovered upon entering my room on the 2nd floor that the room was 75 degrees. That is extremely warm for me. I lowered the thermostat to 66 in order to cool the room quickly and left the room to get something to eat. Two hours later the room was 72 degrees and that is still warm for me as I have heart issues and run very hot. I lowered the ac to 65 and tried to call the office to report the problem. I tried 3 times to reach the office and no one answered. I was exhausted and already undressed so I tried to lay down and see if the situation improved, it did not. 4:30 am I tried to call again and again no answer, the room was at 71 degrees then. Though frustrated and sweating, I was exhausted so I just suffered through it. In the morning I rang the office again, finally someone answered. The lady was nice and said she would send someone to check the issues. I told her that I had timed pictures of the thermostat. Moments later an older Hispanic woman came to the room and went to the ac and proclaimed that it was cold enough to her and then picked up the phone and even though the cord was broken, proclaimed that there was nothing wrong with the phone. Walked back and forth in my room, taking pictures of everything, shaking her head she just kept saying..."all is good...is cool here". As if I was lying, she told me that there was nothing wrong with the room and left slamming the door behind her. I was so upset at being disrespected in such a way after not sleeping that I called the Diamond desk for help and to report the problem. I also called the front desk to voice my disdain for the way I had been treated. Feeling humiliated and disrespected I packed my things and left. No shower, no sleep, and hungry. Words cannot express how badly I felt leaving that hotel. I have had issues at other properties before and not once we're they ever handled in such an unprofessional way. Not ever. Especially not at a Hilton property, and I am a Diamond member. It takes a lot of stays to reach that status and keep it. That by itself should earn me at least a modicum of respect. Alas, at this property it did not. My recommendation is to save yourself the hassle and possibly of any such unfortunate circumstances and book at the Hilton Garden Inn Energy Corridor, the staff there is amazing and any issues there are handled swiftly and professionally. I personally will never stay at another Hampton ever again because of...
Read moreI booked and checked into this location on May 24, 2024 for a three night stay. When we got to our room, we noticed the toilet bowl and bathtub needed some cleaning and so called the receptionist. The receptionist sent one of the housekeeping staff upstairs to address the issues. Meanwhile, we started to unpack and prepare for our stay. As we were doing that, we noticed some white dust in the corner of the floor/carpet that meets the wall. We wondered if it was vacuum cleaning powder or construction dust. So we decided to ask the English-challenged housekeeping staff when she was done with the bathroom. She signaled what looked like “I know what to do”, and then got her cleaner and sponge. She started to clean the dust while we were settling down. She eventually left the room after trying to clean some of the dust. Shortly after, the receptionist called to say the manager asked us to leave the premises. I was confused! I asked why and she said something about the housekeeper and white dust. I then recapped what transpired and she said she would send the manager upstairs to see.||The manager knocked, and we opened the door. She said we needed to leave, and I asked why? She said the housekeeper told her we put the white dust there!!! I could not believe my ears but proceeded to explain to her what happened, and even asked her to come into the room to see for herself. She refused saying she did not need to because the housekeeper would never lie to her. So I asked if she was taking the housekeeper’s word against ours, and she asserted the housekeeper had never lied to her the 15 years she knew her. She went on to boldly accuse us of putting the dust there. I asked her why she was so sure we did and she just kept saying over and over again that we did it. She also said she was in the room earlier in the day, and did not see any dust. Meanwhile, she refused to come in to see considering the possibility she may have overlooked that part of the room. She did not want to listen or even think about the situation. It felt like her position was based on our appearance and nothing else. It felt like she had a preconceived notion about us based on our looks. Otherwise there is no other way to explain her bold accusation.||I have been a Hilton member for years and have never been treated in such indignity by any other Hilton member establishment, any establishment, or anyone for that matter. Needless to say, we left the hotel shocked,...
Read more5 night stay…The rooms have a little musty smell, but overall clean. The service department is amazing from the breakfast area to room cleaning. The front desk was somewhat ok. The girl that check me in thanked me for being a Diamond member and was very welcoming. They do not use the messaging available on the app no one will respond so that is pointless. The manager I believe is probably not the nicest person on the team. I went to the reception area on Thursday June 20th at 1pm since my check out is the next day and asked if I could get late check out she asked rudely till what time and I said around this time and before even looking she said “definitely not this late” (1pm) and that I could come back on my checkout day and check with her to see if anything changes but the best she could do was 12:30pm. On other Hilton hotels they make notes on guest request and then they contact the customer to let them know if the request is available and not make it a hassle. I have received late check out at busy hotels like downtown Chicago and other Hiltons but apparently this half empty hotel cannot allow late check outs. I stay at Hiltons for most of my travel needs and sparingly at Marriott and only being Gold at Marriott and Diamond at Hilton I have received better service when requesting late check outs at Marriott than this hotel. Also, another thing not mention on the Hilton app is that the hotel is under some renovation( which is much needed and hopefully the flooring in the rooms will be part of the renovation). I would probably would have not booked it if notified. The business center was closed, one of the stairways was blocked, and I had a contractor come in my room to measure the window. All very minor inconveniences. If you are Hilton honors member I would probably...
