Prepare yourself for the worst experience possible, repeatedly if you go back more than once. Worst drive thru speaker system possible, you can't hear them nor they you, and if they do hear you, will not understand that you do not want a combo, just a #3 sandwich etc. Pull up to the window, explain you want whatever it is you want, still not understand. If you're lucky to be understood at the window, prepare for a wait of 20-30 minutes for Cajun fries, "...please pull up." ... 2 cars in front already waiting for other stuff... have to park in a parking spot since there's no way to park by the building. After 30 minutes and going around the building again to park next to it since 2 other people left, you decide to go inside (or just leave since you've lost all hope of food safety at this point). Surreal is the best descriptor, 4 people working the kitchen, and a manager and a shift supervisor all appear to be just kind of standing around, "Putting your order together right now."... Yeah, no thanks, just want my money back now as I've lost all faith in competency in the place. Manager appeared to have to call someone to learn how to do a refund. No words, just stepping out of site with the card for a minute or so, then go to the register to go through a lengthy process of button presses to do it. Hands me my card, no explanation or receipt copy, "That's it?", I ask, manager responds "Yea.". Coolness. Of the handful of times I've gone there, it's some variation of these happenings. DO NOT GO TO...
Read moreI’ve been to this Popeyes a little over a handful of times. During the day and the evening are drastically different establishments. During the day the staff is nice and friendly and even when busy the get my order correct.
BUT IN THE EVENING!? Forget about it. You could speak perfectly, or even write the order in neat hand writing and the staff will still somehow find a way to mess it up. My order is simple too, it’s just a spicy chicken sandwich combo with a lemonade no ice. It’s always the same kid to that is working the drive thru. Well I say working but that would be a flat out lie. He is in uniform, but his mind is somewhere else. He is always mumbling and slurring his words in a monotone manner with no enthusiasm in sight. I’m not asking for backflips and a smile from ear to ear, but this boy has to hate his job with a passion, and doesn’t care who knows.
If it’s not one thing it’s the next. Wrong drink? It happens sometimes I get it. Wrong order? Hey I understand it no one expects perfection. But the consistency in which I go there in the evening and something is wrong is so consistent I wonder how I have wronged him.
With this all being said I have zero intentions of returning there again. It blows my mind how this Popeyes is literally night and day. Luckily for me there is a Popeyes right down the road that I’m sure would appreciate my business...
Read moreMy wife ordered on the app. The family meal was all supposed to be classic but they gave us 16 pieces of spicy chicken instead. My wife and daughters can’t eat spicy so my wife called the store. There was no one who spoke English to help her with the order discrepancy so I got on the phone to let the lady know in Spanish. She instructed me to bring the chicken that had already been to my home, touched by several of my household’s fingers, and even bitten into by myself to test how spicy it was, BACK TO THE RESTAURANT TO EXCHANGE IT FOR CLASSIC CHICKEN! My family was absolutely disgusted thinking who else may have returned chicken for exchange and now are they serving us returned chicken! Once I arrive at the Mason/i10 restaurant they did exchange the spicy chicken for the classic chicken we originally ordered but offered nothing to rectify the situation or inconvenience of me having to drive back through the pouring rain to exchange the chicken. This location was once our favorite, we even drive past another Popeye’s location to reach this specific one, but management has changed and it looks like we will too. I’m looking up the food management laws to see if they were in compliance by taking food back into their restaurant. I sure hope their management team bounces back to excellent business practices and food handling bc the was my family’s favorite...
