I’ve never felt strongly enough to post a review. But this was the most awful dining experience I’ve ever had. The food was terrible. We tried the buffet and most of the dishes were barely even warm. I’m not a picky eater, but the lo mein was gross and I couldn’t eat more than two bites. The stuff filling the veggie egg rolls tasted like it had gone bad. The insides of the crab ration was like coleslaw sauce. I found that the vegetable fried rice was tolerable, but it didn’t have any egg, and mostly was just rice with a random tiny piece of peas or carrots with enough soy sauce it was decent. The fries were ok. My daughter was excited about the desserts. Think unwrapped Swiss rolls and nutter butters but the random generic brand that tastes slightly off.
I suppose we should have realize it was bad before we sat down— they use styrofoam plates and plastic forks. I took our youngest to the bathroom and there was a long wet streak from a dirty mop down the hall. Like they only cleaned the one line down the hall and not the whole tile “sidewalk” to the bathroom. The changing table was really wobbly and I had to hold it against the wall with my hip while I change my kid.
I think that was most upsetting was when we got the bill. We were never told how much the buffet cost. I was already upset that we were going to have to pay for the food while we ate, but then to get a bill for 45 was shocking. I honestly thought “the audacity…the food was horrible.”
I don’t want anyone else to have to pay for horrible food so I decided to actually take time to write this review. This was only slightly better than...

Chinese Buffets typically equate to cheap, American Chinese fast food that is mass produced. If you are looking for more frills - I’d seek out something more authentic.
Yea there are paper plates and plastic silverware.
Yes there were bottles of Aldis salad dressing out.
However! As a Chicago Native I’m a firm believer that dive spots can have some of the best food.
My son and I tried and admittedly agreed that we’d wait to review to see how our stomachs settled.
Pleased to say - we are just fine.
$10/adult for lunch. We spent $25.28 for two people and two drinks. We tried a bit of everything.
Vegetable egg rolls were on point and hit the spot.
I love chicken on a stick and that did not disappoint. We both tried the sesame chicken and thought that was delicious.
Fried rice is fried rice. It was good. Crab Rangoon, Dumplings, lo mein, egg drop soup - all Of it was good and hot.
My spring roll was cold - but those get cold so fast I shrugged it off.
We hit the dessert table to sample a few things. A lot of fresh fruit, puddings, jell-o and mini cakes. We sampled a few items.
The only item that I wouldn’t recommend was the clear jell-o. It just wasn’t for me due to it having heavy floral notes to it.
Otherwise, I’ll be honest. Cheap. Hot. Filling.
The restaurant was clean. Service was on top of everything and they waited to give us our bill until they saw we had sat down with dessert. I would...
Read moreThis is by far the worst buffet I have ever been to in my life. You sit down and you can see just how filthy this place is. The floor around the buffet area is sticky. Everything is way over cooked. All the chicken dishes were tough pieces of shoe leather, the seafood looked so sketchy, the potstickers were burnt, the beef and broccoli had a ratio of 1 piece of beef per 20 pieces of broccoli. On the dessert selections they literally had Little Debbie Swiss cake rolls unwrapped and sitting on a plate. The selections were minimal and not even popular choices that you see at most buffets. The topper was having to use Dollar Store foam plates that were ready to collapse at any time and cheap plastic silverware. Then once they put the bill on your table the staff are constantly asking if you’re ready to pay. I was paying cash so I was not. Plus once you pay these places consider your time there done and you can’t go back up. Then once you lay down the money, they scoop it up to see what kind of tip you left. I regretted walking in the door after my first trip to the food area. These guys make Panda Express look like a gourmet meal. Eat at your own risk. I saw them dump fresh food on top of old food then mix it all up. Who knows how long that old food was there before the fresh came out. Don’t expect anything good out...
