Seems that it is more miss then hit. Reception was cool, asking if you had a reservation which we did not. Will reassured that would be quick in and out. Mind you it was around 5:30 p.m. initial impression of the waiter was cool as well, not very welcoming. over the course of the evening, dishes arrived slowly, despite it being fairly early in the evening. So did cocktails. The waiter would not take the kids order first prior to delivering cocktails. Kind of an oddity, considering that kids should come first. Filet mignon was chewy in both medium rare and as rare as the chef can do varieties. Ravioli were odd. Escargot were great. Sat at the bar with my family and was served by the bartender. We found out his name was Dan through the locals. He was very welcoming and kept his cool during the dinner rush. Very personable and made sure that we were okay during our dinner here. We’re from out of town and this was our last meal here in Vermont before heading home. We had a horrible experience at the wobbly house and it was the first restaurant we went to. So glad we ended with Choices Restaurant. One star was taken off because the prime rib was a bit cold, but everything else was delicious. I found Choices because of their vegan options.
I emailed and made reservations for my brother's bachelor's party (21 people) and they were more than happy to accommodate us. When making the reservation they asked about dietary restrictions and told them about my brother being vegan. They asked if there was any dishes he really liked and his preferences. I told them he loved risotto, hated corn and loves dessert. These guys are so awesome they A) MADE A VEGAN RISOTTO SPECIAL FOR THE NIGHT B) MADE VEGAN DESSERT OPTIONS JUST FOR THE NIGHT
On top of the phenomenal way they catered to us the food and service were both impeccable.
