I went in for a quick boba milk tea during some Christmas shopping last week. The boba was ok. The cup leaked and I couldn’t shake it properly and I’ve had better brown sugar boba down the road. As I was waiting by the front door, you can see the chef/ cook bc it’s an open kitchen. I was completely turned off by what I saw…. She was cooking something on the grill and laid the spatula down beside the flat cook top, which was fine. No issues there. The stove had several pots on them and one of them must had some of kind water/ liquid in it that she was heating up. I watched her take the pot full of liquid and put it into her personal drinking cup, now I assume that wasn’t a fresh clean cup bc it was 1500 at the time. Maybe it was a clean cup, I dk but she set the pot back on the stove where there were several other pots, pans and stove. Yuck! Then after she poured the liquid from the pan into her cup. She then proceeded to grab a knife that was siting on the front counter by the register. It was a plastic container full of covered plastic random straws, a fork or 2 and some other items that were not wrapped in plastic and open to anyone to just be touching and sticking their hands in. . She then went and stirred her cup w that knife. After using the knife she then set it back where she had the laid the spatula that she was cooking the food on the stove/ flat top. I’m posting this bc let’s just say the cup was clean that she poured the water in…. The knife she used was not clean and who knows how many ppl have reached their hands into that container for a random straw or utensil and then she set the knife back around food and utensils that she was cooking customers food with. My point in this review is that she needs to be educated on cross contamination, cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation while cooking for others. Ewwwwwww. I would not want to eat there and it made me uncomfortable to even drink the boba ( it was made by a lovely lady in a whole different area). If you go to a restaurant you want to be sure you are not going to be sick and the chef/ cook is taking proper precautions in food preparation. The whole thing was just gross and unnecessary. I’m OCD and don’t want food poisoning so if you’re ok w all of this by all means please don’t hesitate to dine...
Read moreThis is the third visit we’ve made. The first time was excellent. The second time was unmemorable, but todays visit was abysmal. I ordered the house made wonton soup. When I received it, the broth was warm, not hot. The noodles were so undercooked they were all still stuck together. The wontons had a bland, generic meat flavor, nothing special. The wonton casing on it just dissolved away like they had been frozen before hand. The meat itself was a densely compact flavorless meatball. The broth it self was nearly flavorless, with a slight ginger and generic sweet sensation. The bok Choy was basically uncooked, essentially thrown in like an after thought. I really did try to have different aspects of the soup, but sent it back to the kitchen, almost wholly untouched. (I still paid full price for it, I didn’t feel comfortable complaining to the waiter as there was no manager on duty and the owner was not there.) It’s really hard to mess up ramen, but they did it. My husbands ramen was bland. Again, the noodles were uncooked. The broth was almost room temp. The broth was completely bland. The bean sprouts were fresh, I’ll give it to them. But my husband, who basically eats everything in front of him, sent his ramen back too. The waiter was on the phone almost the entire time. We had to wait almost 15 minutes for him to even look up to let him know we were ready for the check. We will not be returning. It was such a great little spot when it first opened, but now they can hardly get people in the door and I can see why. Ultimately we went home and...
Read moreGoing out to eat is for the experience, for the get away from home, and so much more. I really was excited. The service was awful. The girl was almost as if she was scared to take our order, which we later found out she's in training which is fine. We ordered, and pointed exactly to what we wanted. My boyfriend ordered a ginger salad to go with his. The order all comes out and mine had tofu on it. I ordered the number 6 chicken broth shrimp one, I tell them this isn't what I ordered. He said it was a mistake because thier menu is incorrect. It has 2 number 6 soup bowls, so the girl only told him number 6. Then they said 5 mins and took off the tofu to put on the grilled shrimp. I let that be. Then we realized it didn't have on it what it says and shows, it was missing some condiments. He pointed out again the menu in front of us and online is wrong. He said, what now!? So they added corn, not the mushrooms in the pic. It's like it was our fault that thier menus were all wrong. Awful service. Not very nice owner. Didn't even compensate anything which we weren't looking for that but definitely made us feel unhappy and our lunch together was us just complaining to each other about how much we would rather just not go out. So disappointed. 45$ for 2 soups and a small hand size salad and uncomfortable service. Won't be returning. They also have a really gross fish tank as u enter that looks as if it hasn't been cleaned ever and u can't even see through it. I'm sad to even write this but reviews are really important so watch out...
