I want to start by saying, I dont review places often, and I definately dont like to go to places that look like they are fishing for reviews or that they have so many good reviews that they give something away for free just for writing one. That is not the case here. The food is just really 5 stars. Now on to the good stuff....
This place is incredible. From the second we walked in, it was friendly and professional. The owner actually greeted us and helped get us sat, he later came out after the meal and introduced himself. He gave us a little background about himself being from Venezuela and his family being from Italy and him having a passion for Asian cuisine which led him to this fusion menu.
When I tell you that everything that hit the table was immaculate, I'm not exaggerating. We ordered the edamame, the Truffle Tuna Bites, the Bao Buns, the Hashi Roll, the Passion Lobster Roll, and the Steak Teriyaki with fried rice. The Truffle tuna bites are unreal, who has truffle infused ponzu sauce... it was DELICIOUS. Then the buns... they are not what you are thinking, they are light and fluffy and almost more of a taco than a bun, but still have the thickness of a bun. There's 2 per portion and they are good sized, but I'm telling you we could have eaten a mountain of them. The rolls were incredibly fresh, and the sauces drizzled on top were next level, you won't find those in your normal sushi place. We had kids with us and they devoured the Steak Teriyaki with fried rice and we ended up getting them a second plate of edamame. I mean edemame is edamame, but not here. Even the edamame was special.
As for the vibe, the place is tiny but not like a dive at all. The esthetic is very modern and classy, there's about 8 or 9 tables in the place and the attention to detail and decor was impressive. I'm so happy to have found this place. If only we didn't live on the other side of the country, I can tell you we would be here at least weekly. Thanks for a...

From the moment we stepped into Oduro Shushi, it was clear we were in for something special. The ambiance perfectly blends elegance with comfort, setting the tone for what would become one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory.
Chef Federico is the heart and soul of this culinary gem. His creativity, precision, and passion are evident in every dish that leaves his kitchen. Each piece of sushi was a masterclass in balance—flavors that harmonize with one another, textures that melt or pop at just the right moment, and presentations that were truly Instagram-worthy.
Highlights included the toro truffle nigiri, which was nothing short of heavenly, and the seasonal omakase, where Chef Federico’s genius really shined. The pacing was perfect, and every course felt like a personal story told through fresh fish and delicate seasoning.
But what truly elevated the evening was the warmth and engagement from Chef Federico himself. His presence in the dining room, his explanations of each course, and his genuine enthusiasm for his craft made us feel both welcomed and privileged to witness a true artisan at work.
Five stars without hesitation. Oduro Shushi is a destination for sushi lovers and culinary adventurers alike, and Chef Federico is a rising star...
Read moreSo I am confused at all the great reviews. My family and I were here visiting at the Gaylord and wanted to find some good sushi. Per the ratings, this place seemed like a great choice. Well, when we sat down, we were asked whether we spoke Spanish since that was all the waitress spoke. First red flag. When they brought out the ginger/wasabi for the sushi, the wasabi was the smallest dab of wasabi I have ever seen accompanied by one slice of ginger. The selection pertaining to the sushi was minimal and the taste mediocre at best. One of the rolls we received had a hair in it and the other a quarter size piece of plastic from the Saran Wrap.
As far as the atmosphere, our table for four was situated against a mirror wall with two of the seats facing the mirrors. While I don’t mind looking at a mirror when I’m getting myself ready, I do not enjoy staring at a mirror during my meal. It was not enjoyable.
After showing the waitress the hair and plastic we were given the option to be compensated or have the rolls replaced although this conversation required a translator to discuss. I appreciate the fact that they did end up comping the two rolls, however I would never recommend this restaurant especially at the prices they charge. ...
