This hotel is adequate for a short Disney stay. It has the basics of everything that you might need. You may also be able to find some good deals on the price here, especially due to the location, even though it is a Disney good neighbor hotel. We used Uber to get to and from the hotel each day. The address shows weird on Uber so sometimes they circle the lot trying to find the entrance. Every employee that I encountered was nice and friendly. Check in was quick and easy. They do not provide housekeeping as a default and they make you aware of that up front. It is by request only. However, our room was very well stocked with everything so we did not need to request housekeeping service for anything (we had stocked extra towels and washcloths, two trash cans, plenty of plastic cups, two toilet paper rolls, and stocked shampoo/conditioner/body wash). Our room was actually quite spacious. There is the main part of the room with the bathroom and the bed (the sink however is inside the bathroom door with the toilet and shower). There is a dresser with a TV here, but further into the room there is a desk, another tv, a coffee table, and a couch (pull out couch). This made it easy to spread out and organize our things, especially after coming home with multiple merchandise bags at the end of a long park day. The room was clean upon arrival. However the walls are quite thin, so just be aware of that if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. In the morning starting around 7:30am you hear housekeeping getting ready to go and cleaning rooms, elevator dinging for people leaving and going to and from breakfast. People walking in the halls, people talking and getting ready in the rooms next to you and above you, delivery trucks backing up in the lots next door and for the breakfast delivery. So you probably won’t be able to sleep well past 8am here. The bed was comfy, however the pillows were not, and the sheets were so scratchy and uncomfortable! I had to sleep on top of the sheets and in between the comforter to be more comfortable and less scratchy. Also in the room there is a microwave, mini fridge, small coffee maker, and ice bucket with cups, and a small closet with iron and ironing board. The breakfast in the morning lasts until 9am. It is a very basic breakfast, but hey, at least it is included and you get some fuel before heading out to the parks. They have mickey waffle machines, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon or sausage, muffins/bagels/bread for toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, orange juice, apple juice, and coffee. There is a small topping bar with granola, chocolate chips, raisins, etc for your waffles, cereal, or yogurt. We did not have time to use any other amenities offered at this hotel. Overall this hotel is just fine. Just go into it with proper expectations of what you pay versus what you get (no housekeeping, thin walls, basic breakfast, etc). This is an adequate place to stay near the Disney property for less money. Our stay was fine, but I don’t think we will be...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting. Me and my husband waited a bit too long to book a hotel for my 6 day vacation and thought “it’s Marriott, can’t go wrong” after finding out a out of our go-to hotels and airbnbs were booked. Well.. it went really wrong.
It all started when I requested housekeeping at check in specifically because of their policy that it’s not automatic anymore and not one day did anyone go in and clean our room. I complained about it and was told that I had to request it without even checking if I had, when I stated that I had the worker behind the front desk didn’t know what to do next. The issue never got resolved.
The next morning after check in day, we went down to have breakfast (which had very limited options and also didn’t taste all that great) and went back up to our room to find our card wasn’t working to get inside our room. Lady at the front desk told us she’d call their ONE maintenance worker to come in (FROM HIS HOUSE) to check it out but that she only thought it was the batteries and proceeded to say that if he didn’t arrive in 30 minutes she’d go check it and change it herself. which of course she never did and we couldn’t get into our room for around 3 hours until the maintenance arrived and changed the batteries in all of 2 seconds. Mind you, we had Disney tickets that day and had to wait until this was resolved to be able to go back into our room and get ready for our day, 3 hours later than we had planned.
A/C unit was cheap and left room humid all the time, which wouldn’t have been an issue if the fan in the bathroom did it’s job. Couldn’t take one shower without the room being humid and STICKY afterwards until basically the next morning. Nothing felt or looked clean and their own staff had no idea how to properly handle situations. Attached photos I took of humid, sticky and scratched furniture, as well as cracks in the wall above the A/C unit and on the tiles in the shower.
Whole time we were there the tv remote was having issues. My partner went downstairs where he was told the batteries needed changing due to them having cancelled their contract with the brand of batteries that were in the remote OVER A YEAR AGO!! Even after this we kept having issues with the TV and it’s remote anyways.
Moral of my story: don’t stay here unless you want a new...
Read moreMy stay was booked through bluegreen vacations. They didn't give me a precise address for which Fairfield it was that I had to stay at and I was unsure, through using google whether Celebration was an area or part of the hotel name. Their welcome team neglected to tell me that their welcome centre had moved since their last visit in January. I went to the old welcome centre looking for the late arrival hotel voucher and paperwork. No dice. I went to Fairfield closest to bluegreen on international drive and asked them to look into which Fairfield it was. The receptionist was helpful, found the address for Celebration and said that she had to assist another guest last week in the same predicament at midnight. I arrived at Fairfield Celebration, Courtney kindly checked me in and said I could be checked in provided a voucher could be presented after my bluegreen owner orientation. She also gave me a time that it could be given that bluegreen had failed to do that themselves and advised me to call them after 9am. I was reassured by her competence and care and was relieved to be in a hotel bed by 1am. The room was lovely and comfortable, the bed and breakfast was excellent. I attended bluegreen the next day and presented Courtney's colleague with my voucher. I had an excellent stay, attending the universal parks, visiting malls, eating at buffets suggested by David and leaving my bags in your office post-checkout whilst I went to islands of adventure. An uber driver lied and said he had returned to the hotel to drop off a lost item to me and charged me an extra fifteen dollars. This wasn't true as I had left the uber with all my belongings and entered the hotel. I had dinner at Golden Corral across the car park and returned back to the hotel. I spoke to Adrian and he kindly spoke to his manager about obtaining CCTV footage if uber required it to prove that no lost items and that specific driver had not returned. Thankfully uber believed my account and refunded the charges. Adrian and Samantha were v.helpful with my luggage - storing it and retrieving it when required on my last day. The only extra thing you need is a shower for guests who have checked out and returned post-park. A sink is suboptimal...
