Went to Hobby Lobby this evening (Memorial Day) and the strangest thing happened, so I thought I would share... First, some background info -- I'm a long-time shopper at Hobby Lobby and thoroughly enjoy my frequent trips to this store. In fact, this was the first place I went after being in the house for 3 months last year when all the shut-downs were going on. I spent almost 2 hours wandering around and buying stuff. It felt great. However, that was not my experience today thanks to one of the cashiers and a manager. The first place I head to when I go to this store is the clearance section. Today I noticed they had some pretty good markdowns so, naturally, I put a bunch of stuff "I don't really need but have to buy because it is such a great price" in my basket. After this I proceed to wander the store to see what else I may need, then finally I get the one thing I went for - a paint pen. So now it's time to check out and go home to start using my goodies. But wait - the cashier says there are two clearance tags on some of the items I am buying. Well, okay. I've seen that before - so... what? Typically it is the lowest priced tag. But no. Not here apparently. She calls the manager. Okay, no biggie. I'm sure she has the answer so we can proceed and the people behind me in line don't have to wait too long. Well, nope. That's not what happened. She said someone changed the tags. I'm like "What? On ALL of them?" (I had like 6 little air freshener refill things). So she said it is not the lowest price tag (which is the whole reason I put them in my basket to begin with - because they were such a good price) but rather the higher tag price. This is the first time I have ever encountered a store that does not honor their own marked price whether it is correct or not. It's not like these things were expensive. They were marked down from 0.49 cents to 0.19 cents. The problem I had with this was the manager and her attitude. I felt like she was insinuating that I changed the price tags. First, that is kind of dumb considering we are only talking pocket change here. I assume people who do that are trying to save dollars, not pennies. Second, why would someone go to the trouble of trying to pull labels off when everyone is fully aware they have security cameras all over the store. That's even dumber than the first thing I listed. Third, how could someone have so masterfully peeled price tags off one product to put on another without any rips or bent corners? I can't even get the damn tags off at home after I buy stuff using dish soap or Goo Gone, so how someone pulled that off in a store with security cameras and guards is a mystery to me. And lastly (fourth), I'm pretty sure if she checks with her person who tags the items she will find she was wrong. I ended up not buying them on principle because of her condescending attitude (plus I don't even have the thing you put these refills in, I was just going to scent them then stick them on the floorboards - so it's not like I really needed them anyway). Bottom line: I am so disappointed in the way things went today at this store. Maybe some extra training will help along with better communication between the staff who tags items for clearance and management. Just an overall...

Ā Ā Ā Read morei cannot stand this hobby lobby. take the drive and go to any other one but here. The manager on duty today ( 10/15/24) was rude. For example, my sister in law and mom found a cute little pumpkin but we couldnāt find where it was at (we just wanted to know the price) so we tried to ask for help and a nice lady went to ask the manager where they would be and his response was āUm everywhereā very funny, bc they WERE NOT if so we wouldnāt have asked āŗļøš«¢. Continuing with that , the customers are older people, they will absolutely run you over. they do not say excuse me. i had a lady literally REACH OVER my nephews stroller instead of saying excuse me. i had another old lady run right up on me and almost hit me with her buggy. Another lady walks right infront of where i was looking and stopped dead infront of me. Safe to say , i would rather go any other hobby lobby bc the employees are so friendly and the customers are also friendly. Especially in oak ridge or...
