This resort has a great location. So close to the beaches, the city, shops, etc, you will not find a better location. Some lots are a little tight to park (mainly because of the older trees they have, they make the walk around the resort so scenic) but they all have patios and spaces of grass beside them so I really do not understand why people keep complaining of small sites, for Florida, next to the beach, they are a good size. The pool is heated year round and pretty big, new patio furniture, availability to grill right there where you swim makes for a nice day, really nice day. Corn hole, volleyball courts, horse shoes, billiards, ping pong. They have lots of activities in the clubhouse, all you have to do is go look at the calendar. Their facilities are clean and well kept. They have wifi available for sale with camplink at a standard price (like $40 for 30 days) and free wifi a the clubhouse. People are super nice and you get you standard snowbird season, they have a good mix of ages at the resort. When you come here you for sure know you are on vacation. They love kids here, which is hard to find in beach area Florida, the Manager actually keeps candy in the office for them!!! The staff is super nice but they have a stand out, Leslie the manager. I cannot say enough nice things about this lady. She is very welcoming, always has a smile, you just are instantly in a good mood when she comes around, she gets things done too, she ain't just a pretty face, her resort is ran top notch. I hope encore never loses her, I would give this resort 10 stars if I could base the review on her. She is a...
Read moreFirst encore/thousand trails place we stayed at. Staff and residents are super friendly. Lots of long timers here.... Lots of permanent residents... Some of the trailers look very old and worn. Definitely has a dated feel.
No dog park. No trash pick up.
Loved how there were 2 RV repairmen staying right next to us and we were able to get our RV serviced in less than a days notice and didn't have to be home for it. Lifesaver!!!!
RV lots are very tight and hard to back into (though there are larger lots available to rent). RVs are very close together in the small lots. The lots in our area were grass/dirt with a concrete patio and picnic table. Full hookups.
Large park with big trees... Good for a walk/run.
Lots of fire ant hills. First park we've been to with lots of young kids running around. This park is not so strict on the barking dog policy.
The location is great in that it's equal distance from Tampa, St Petersburg, and Clearwater Beach... All awesome places to go to.... But location is not so great in that it's next to a very large, busy road that makes entering and exiting the park with your...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place. Luckily we were only staying for one night. The entrance is only accessible from one direction on Ulmerton Road as it’s on a divided highway. There is a left turn shortly after the park, but a U-turn was not possible for a 26ft RV so we had to turn into a very small parking lot with “no turnaround” signs and make a 5 point turnaround (once you are in the turn lane it is divided and you cannot get back into the flow of traffic). Spots are dirt/sand and we needed to use levelers. There are nice concrete pads with picnic tables though. Lots of permanent trailers onsite. Neighbors seemed nice and we felt safe inside the park. Worst part... only cold water in the showers and sinks at the C Street Bathhouse. Not a good way to start the day. The bathhouse is clean though. My husband did find hot water in the shower at the main clubhouse, but it could use a good cleaning. We chose not to figure out the WiFi as there was a whole pamphlet to read and it was not clearly identified when we pulled up...
