Mi Lupita Restaurant — Restaurant in Largo

I dont know that I've had authentic Mexican food before but came based on the great reviews. I was immediately turned off by the smell of the bathrooms throughout the restaurant. You could smell it heavily as soon as you walk in. The service was great throughout. The booth seating sits really far back from the table so I'd choose a regular table if I come back. If you are a very large person, a booth would be comfortable but it wasn't for me and I'm not a tiny thing. I really enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa had a wonderful flavor. I dont really like any rice or beans ever, but had a few bites and they were good if that's your cup of tea. My steak taco had a good flavor but the shell was kind of pully and hard and I wasn't really impressed. The cheese enchilada was good. The chicken sope had a good flavor but the breading was kind of hard. I think they used some stale shells from yesterday that really weren't what I was expecting from the rave reviews. Take all my money! I’ve been on the hunt for an authentic Mexican spot, and I finally found it! This place is a hidden gem. The tortillas are house-made—fresh tortillas that elevate everything. I had tacos de carne asada, lengua, and chicharrón, and let me tell you, each one was incredible. But those chicharrón tacos? Chef’s kiss. I’m officially addicted.
