DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING. Let me start off by saying they have remodeled the office, added mulch, palm trees, new paved roads etc. but refuse to use that money to help the people who actually live there. This was my first apartment, and I had high hopes. Prices were good, some good and some bad reviews. I even asked about a couple bad reviews and there response was âsome people are just not happy people in general focus on the good onesâ so I decided to give it a shot. I lived in that apartment for a year and had 12 work orders placed almost all for the ac. Once my water heater broke and they put a industrial size fan in my bedroom and told me I could not go in there. Not only did I pay for the electricity for that to run for 3 weeks but I also was not able to sleep in my bedroom. The ac would go out every month if not more. The maintenance men said to me that they were tired of fixing it. But they werenât the ones living in Florida summers with no AC. When I went to the office about it the property manager told me âyour ac will never reach what you set it atâ and I said thatâs weird when I go to my parents house theirs doesnât run all day and her response was âwell good for them, they own a house. Youâre rentingâ. I was paying over $200 for electric for a ONE BEDROOM apartment. Every time after that everyone would ignore us. The property manager would only speak to me through others, wouldnât let me talk to her directly. Maintenance men wouldnât even look our way when we passed outside. And surprisingly the ac that âwould never reach tempâ got fixed? But that was in the middle of December and I moved out in January so that was absolutely no help. They also sent me a letter saying they would not renew my lease (because I complained too much) not that I was wanting to live in that hell hole for another year anyways. My last month of renting I only stayed for 19 days before the lease was up and my bill was supposed to be prorated. I only paid 893 a month and they sent me a bill for 990 and when I asked about it they couldnât tell me how or why and then changed it to 580. When I asked for them to show me how they got to that number they said they were not allowed. When I finally turned in my keys they told me that they would have to replace the carpet with my deposit and when I asked how much that would be they said they didnât know. So Iâm sure they stole money from me there too. Please donât even waste your time. And if anyone wants to email me I have picture proof of every...
Read moreBeen here for about 2 year it was ok at first then the constant phone texts and emails from the office of constant threats with tacking on $50-$250 fees about people leaving trash cans out or dog poop or someone had to manny plants or chairs on the patio. They also constantly threaten you with fees with people working on their cars in the car park. I had maintenance come out to fix my water heater due to I canât take a shower longer then 5 minutes of the water is cold I keep calling them out but always the same thing happens same with the dishwasher they âfixâ it but it does not clean anything and will fill up with water and back-flush into the kitchen so for the past 2 years I have had to siphon the water out into the bathtub cause the dishwasher will not drain. Also I really hate how the buildings have â German cockroachesâ they are in the buildings where people live and I have even found them in the laundry room and the machines in the laundry are absolutely disgusting and filthy they are all gummed up with soap, hair and mystery goop. Their trash service people that we pay $30 a month for the workers will skip trash cans and not pick them up so much for $30 a month since I lived here my rent went from $1300 to $1650 in just 2 years and I am happy I didnât sign another lease for 2024 they wanted $1700 for a ran down 1 bed 1 bath when I moved in they left the old carpet with lines running all through the carpet along with hole patches and what really is upsetting is they jack up the price on everything and they started losing alot of people now for new comers 1 bed 1 baths are only $1300 when the people that lived here and never missed a day on rent are charged $450 more then new comers :Note when maintenance come does work at your apartment and stay your sleeping in your bedroom if you donât answer the door they will lock your door and come right in my fiancĂ© with laying down in the bedroom mind you with just a blanket on the maintenance worker walked right into the bedroom and stood there my đ« escorted him out I was extremely uncomfortable with him so change your locks cause they...
Read moreI lived here at this complex many years ago, from 1995 to 1999. Back then it was named first, The Glades then after a management and ownership change it was renamed The Grandview. I can tell anyone that the quality of life in this community was substandard to say the least. For example, they made my family live with outdated carpeting for the entire four years we lived there. The staff refused to replace it despite every lease renewal, even though the carpet was rotten and fraying. The AC unit was older and malfunctioning often. The maintenance staff were often rude and obnoxious. One must understand that most of these kinds of communities are for profit. Management staff are trained on concealing the actual condition of the property. In short, a marketing scheme of quantity rather than quality. That of which unfortunately applies all to often. As for German roaches (or bed bugs), those infestations are often brought in from filthy households that already have a similar infestation. A huge and ever growing problem with community living. Remember, not everyone is as clean as you or I may be. I have had much experience with multiple local apartment communities. Plus I have several years of motel/facilities maintenance and management experience. As a homeowner for the last 15 years, I can say that maintenance is costly to say the least. Plus apartment communities have to deal with destructive tenants and liability issues. However, if a tenant and family are reliable and respectful to the property. Then they should reap the amenities due to them. Any negligence on the ownership or management's behalf must be dealt with by reporting them promptly. Seek litigation if necessary but as a last resort. Obviously, these property tycoons have...
