I am perplexed by the good reviews on this place. It is HORRIBLE. ||I'm a solo female traveler, passing through beautiful NM on a cross country road trip. On a Monday night in July, I checked in "after hours" which requires the guest to ring a bell at the drive through window. (There is no access into the hotel lobby). ||I rang the bell and waited outside, standing in the drive-thru. My car was parked about 40 feet away in a parking spot. ||As I rang the bell, 2 men in a pick up truck pulled into the drivethru, right behind me, which already felt too close for comfort. They were not giving me a lot of personal space which raised a red flag.||As the hotel employee collected my information the driver of the truck said to the passengaer, "I will get you a room here to get you off the street for the night. Just don't steal anything." ||This comment made me incredibly weary of my surroundings. It just didn't feel right. ||The hotel employee finished my check in and gave me my card to my room. As I turned to go to my room, the truck driver stepped closer towards me and started to verbally harrass me. He was aggressivley saying "hey you!" and "What's your name!" "Come here" over and over. ||I am used to traveling alone and being approached by men, but this scenarios felt more dangerous than usual.||I was so scared that I did not want him to see what room I was staying in. ||I got in my car and he watched me drive away, then I waited for 20 minutes in a parking lot down the street before I returned. At this point it was 10pm and I was exhausted from driving 12 hours that day. I just wanted to go to bed. ||Upon returning to the motel, I did not see the truck, so I went inside my room. ||There was a group of creepy men in the parking lot outside my room doing, what seemed to be, "suspicious activity," let's just say, Another red flag.||When entering my room, another very shady & suspicious man was standing outside his door, at the room right next to mine, looking to be up to no good. He watched me go into my room alone and it left me another very creepy feeling. At that point, my instincts told me to leave. ||The room was dingy, smelly and filled with stains on the walls and bed. I didn't even want to sit on a chair.||When I tried to close my room door behind me, it barely closed. The top part of the door was so bent, I could almost see daylisght through it. The lock was also very questionable and did not close securely. That was the final straw. ||Within 10 minutes of being in the room, I absolutely felt that my safety was in jeopardy. There was no way I was going to sleep there. ||I went back to check in desk and rang the bell. The motel employee admitted that he heard the guy harrassing me. I told him that he should understand that my safety is a big concern and he really did NOT care too much about that. ||I immediately checked out and asked for a refund. He would NOT issue a refund.||I booked another room at the Ramada down the street and felt much better about that place. ||No one should ever feel like their safety is in jeopardy when all they want to do is lay their head to rest for a night. If health and safety are a concern of yours when traveling, go elsewhere. This place...

Read moreThe cleaning staff was awesome an sweet. The owner was a liar, super rude, greedy, disrespectful and just plain ugly to us and even the neighbors, I believe he was homophobic the way he treated my girlfriend and I,One day, without even knocking he just walked into the room while I was asleep in the nude, and refused to leave till I paid him, so I covered myself the best I could, and handed him a 100 dollar bill and he never returned my change Fast forward two days. It's check out time, our two friends came to see if we were going to be staying or if we needed a ride anywhere , well the owner walks up for the rent because I had gotten distracted by my company before I had a chance to pay and here he comes "RENT IS DUE, YOU HAVE THE MONEY NOW!" I asked him to calm down and not yell, and that I had 80 dollars for him, he didn't like me telling him to calm down and he pushes his way into the room an sees my two friends and starts screaming " I SAID NO HOMELESS PEOPLE , GET OUT NOW " I informed him that my friends aren't homeless and they just came to check on us! He starts yelling " CHECK OUT IS NOW!GET OUT NOW!" I asked him why and he just continued to go crazy "LEAVE , LEAVE NOW," ,I ,asked him for the money I had just handed him back and you would have thought I just called his mother a cow with the face of disgust he made at me for having the audacity to ask him for it, I also asked him for my change from the other day again which at minimum should have been at least 20 dollars , he says I only gave him 80 dollars, but it was a hundred dollar bill. This whole ordeal is happening while we are packing, he finally agrees to get my change and runs to the office he gets back and hands me 10 dollars I guess it's better than nothing right? An while he's watching/rushing us pack up he just walks into the neighbors room without knocking and proceeds to start going through their belongings! The nerve of that guy he does not need to be treating clean, polite paying customers like we are trash..if I could give negative...
