RUDE! Idk if she’s the owner but she was so rude.I had came in around 11am.I wanted to buy a microwave but had to go to the bank because their machine wouldn’t take my card. on the way to the bank I realize I was going to be spending to much on a microwave and wanted it because it looked retro.I’m not rich and I need to spend wisely. I wanted to tell her I didn’t want the microwave anymore.i called the shop no one answered so I ended up coming back to the shop to tell her because I didn’t want to be rude and let it sit there with a sold tag.she wasn’t there but I told one of her coworkers. She had came back minutes later and got mad that I didn’t want the microwave and need to tell her ahead of time. Her coworker did defend me and told her that’s the reason I came in. My friend, her bf and his sister that had been with me had asked the price of a stuff animal she started showing more attitude and started accusing us of removing the tag. The stuff animals aren’t even tagged! She pushed my friends bfs sister out of the way to look at the stuff animals. Didn’t say excuse me or anything. I don’t know if she was in a bad mood when she got back or she hated that I didn’t spend 60...
Read moreThis store benefits Action Program for Animals, an excellent non-profit that has unselfishly served the community in the following ways: "The ACTion Programs for Animals adoption center offers cats and dogs for adoption as well as other community services, such as the pet food bank, low-cost vaccination clinics, and dog training classes." Call first.
Other than being open according to her posted hours, I’m impressed with the store and I like to support her cause in the...
Read moreIt's a shame y'all kicked me out! I won't beat around the bush: I'm a book flipper. I travel the country buying books from thrift stores and reselling them online. My objective isn't malicious -- it's to create a business around redistributing things in the marketplace. I'm from New York and have been to hundreds of thrift stores and yours is the first I've been kicked out of. It's a real shame that all your books continue to sit on the shelves collecting dust because you restrict who can buy books. I'd much prefer to spend my money at a thrift store supporting a mission like yours than a national chain like Goodwill. (P.S. if you'd like to learn more about how you can sell stuff yourself online I'd be more than happy to help you get an ecommerce channel off the ground. It really is a missed opportunity for so many thrift stores...and so many animals could benefit...
