Don't purchase more than you can carry. I have been to this nice store several times over that last six or so months. When I saw the yelp reviews I thought 'that isn't the store I go to'. I was wrong. The prices are super high considering that everything is donated. One review said that an item still had a price tag on it from the original store and the savers tag was higher than that! It's true to. I donate a lot because of a down size in my living arrangements. But won't anymore. What's the point of donating nice stuff if people would be better off buying new? It would save them money instead of buying second hand. The worst cut of all? Don't buy more than you can carry. They don't supply bags any more you have to purchase them as well! Good lord even a dollar store provides a bag!!! So very greedy this seems to be to me. So I guess I will donate to my church from now on for there annual sale to support people less fortunate in my community. Instead of driving to this store. And don't be fooled they don't really seem to be giving to the charities that they have all over the front windows the cashier had no idea what I asked her about this. The only nice part, store is clean and well stocked the nice kid that took the dozen boxes in the back was friendly and efficient. Good bye to you savers (ps you should change your name to 'gouges' and add 'those that don't...
Read moreMy experience is always incredibly disappointingâtoo expensive, and the staff was unfriendly. This is supposed to be a thrift store, not a boutique. Your pricing needs serious adjustment across the board. As an eBay reseller, I canât help but notice that pricing items based on eBay values is unrealistic. The chances that the exact customer who wants or needs an item will walk into your store are almost nonexistent. Savers should be a place where eBay resellers can confidently source products. Without resellers acting as a middleman to get items to the customers who need them, you're just creating a bottleneck in the recycling and reuse process.
You should focus on turning inventory over quickly, not squeezing every last dollar out of items and customers. Iâve seen items in Savers priced as high or higher than what they cost new at Walmart! If I were in desperate need of even basic clothing, I would have to rule out Savers entirely for that, too. Management really needs to rethink its strategy. I've seen other thrift stores close or stagnate due to this kind of greed. Just get your inventory out on the floor, be flexible with pricing, and remember: if youâre not willing to list it on eBay, you shouldnât be charging...
Read moreThey want to enforce a no bag policy, but wont take women's purses that are the same size as my bag. The manager hung the phone up on me when trying to file a complaint and is very rude. The make shift security guard made threats of arrest, and made rude comments towards me in an unprofessional manner, and following me to my vehicleas i willing left. I dont deny i made comments back like "idiot" when he told me hed call the police on me even though i hadn'tcommited a crime. I will most likely go back, but I wont have my belongings with me as ill be severely harassed. All around terrible display of customer service. I shop here often and this is the first time they have done this over me having a backpack. I offered to even show them my bag as I always do when I shop here and leave, which I feel is plenty sufficient. EDIT: I went back today with my family. I didnt have a bag this time, and the same security guard targeted and harassed me, telling me "you know you cant be here", when I was never trespassed, and LEFT WILLINGLY the last time. One of the assistant managers told me I could stay and had him stop bothering me which was very...
