Check in as at 3:00pm or if earlier you will be charged $20.00 early check in fee. I was like NVM, so I went to grab my kiddos a bite to eat. It was like 2:50, so it wasn't too much of a wait. When I arrived, there was a lady at the front desk, I quickly said, "Where's the guy who just answered the phone? He sounds like he is having a bad day." Jacques came up and he was like, "That was me." I told him hey, "Smile, it can't be that bad! I feel that I brightened his day, not only did he smile, but I had him totally laughing. He got us checked in and off we went to our room. It doesn't take much to make me happy, but I was able to park my car directly in front of my window! The king bed was super comfy, the AC/Heater worked well with no issues. After unpacking, we went over to Walmart and stocked up our fridge (which was a decent size)The pool was never horribly packed, but I waited until it was like one or two families (our just my family) so we couldn't comfortably remove our masks while swimming. Water was somewhat cold, but not freezing, but the room itself was nice and warm. My daughter and I jumped right into the Jacuzzi, the jets worked well! After our first use, I noticed that the floor seemed wet, but I was like, maybe she got the floor wet when she got out. Later that night, after she was sleep, I got back into the Jacuzzi and after getting out, I dried off and walked to the bathroom to hang my swimsuit, I was like, the floor seems wet or maybe it is cold? Over time, I realized that the Jacuzzi had been leaking underneath somehow and it eventually soaked the floor to the point where my friends came over to visit and her boyfriend jumped up on the carpet and the water made splashes. I had told room service about the issue, but soon learned that the lady who I had talked with didn't understand what I was even saying. For safety reasons, I informed everyone of the water and told them to stop vacuuming the room, but they vacuumed anyway. I told a young guy at the office one night, he came in and said that he would pass the memo on, but that didn't happen. I mean it was gross, but not the end of the world, I just wanted someone to fix it, but I didn't necessarily want to uproot my kids and move to a different room, and I did tell him that. This was not a couple retreat, I had kids, so once we settled in, we wanted to stay put. The night before my stay was to end, I came in and talked to Jacques, told him what was going on and he said, "What?" He told me to switch out of the room, gave me a card and came to check the carpet. I was like, "Even though we have just one more night?" He was like, "yes." We packed up and moved down the way to another room. By this time, I realized that some of my shoes had been soaked as the water underneath the carpet had spread to the wall. Some of the clothes that had been in the closet area were also wet. My stay was from 4/18 to 4/23/2021. Jacques said that the day staff should go ahead and offer another night due to some of the issues that we had, I went down and talked to the lady who was running the front desk and she told me that the Jacuzzi rooms had been booked up already since it was the weekend, maybe her boss could get me another room. I told her that my clothes are wet, like we just moved all of our things last night because of the the Jacuzzi was leaking (Room 103). I had been moved to room 125. We used the Jacuzzi in that room with absolutely no problems. I just wasn't prepared to reorganize and pack and be out by 11am. It was before 9:00am, I requested that she have the lady give me a call when she arrived at 9:00am, we watched TV until 9:40am. I realized that I wasn't going to get a call, I didn't want to pack up again and unpack just to go to another room. We packed up and went to another hotel. Location is great, but could use updates in the hotel. I didn't notice any bedbugs and we were there long enough that we would have been bitten up! Cleaning crew...

LOBBY & ROOMS No one was having their last dance with Mary Jane at this establishment AT ALL including the staff. The lobby was over powered with cleaning chemicals to try to cover up the smell of the devil's lettuce. The entire hallway was filled with the smell of skunk that seeped into our room. Signs are posted everywhere that the hotel is a 100% smoke free environment however, when the cat is away, the mice will play. We reported it to the front desk. The front desk stated that they would go check it out. A few minutes later, the front desk returned and stated that they "didn't smell anything." LOL question: when you are puff puff passing on a daily regular basis, does your sense of smell become immune to skunk weed? I am legitimately asking. There is no way the front desk didn't smell anything. If you're into this kind of thing, this is the perfect place for you. If you are not into this kind of thing, I highly recommend that you do not stay at the Baymont by Wyndham Indianapolis Northeast.
FREE ENTERTAINMENT We had the pleasure of being in our very own episode of "Cops" during our stay. The night of the 28th, in the middle of the night, police were banging on another guests door talking about "Police, open up. We know you're in there!" The next morning, my husband, my son and myself were leaving our room. We saw housekeeping at the other end of the hall. We decided that we were going to ask for a DO NOT DISTURB SIGN. It was then that another guest started charging at us with a notebook and a pencil. This guest started screaming vulgarities (I will spare you the words to keep this PG). We made it onto the elevator and down into the lobby. The front desk told us that that we could call the cops if we wanted to but they had already called the cops on this guest and it didn't do any good. We had to call the cops ourselves. To make a long story short, the guest was handcuffed to an office chair and arrested. We did get some of it on video and a few pictures that I am not going to post to protect the other guests identity. Clearly this guest needed some medical attention and we were told that this guest was getting the help they needed. IT DID NOT STOP THERE! Our last night in this fine establishment, the smoke alarms went off. Not once, but twice. Fire Department showed up. Apparently someone had left popcorn in the lobby microwave too long. That devils lettuce must have given someone the munchies and then they forgot about it.
POOL We only got to stare at it through the big glass window. It was broke. The lady at the desk did inform us prior to checking in that they were having it repaired but she couldn't promise that it would be fixed during our stay. However, we had traveled 15 hours to get to this hotel and were too tired to try to find other arrangements.
BREAKFAST After finding floaties in our coffee, we chose not to eat breakfast there. However, the breakfast there looked very slim pickin's. Best Western and Holiday Inn Express would be better choices if you actually want your money's worth when it comes to breakfast.
LOCATION There is a Wal-mart very close by, a Wendy's, a KFC among other places. Very convenient if you are hungry or forgot something at home. As far as I could tell, that was about it.
OVERALL DO NOT stay here. Do not stay here especially if you have allergies. The rooms were not clean. The bathrooms were not clean. Holes in walls with sloppy patch work done. Tile in bathroom dirty and the grout was coming up. Rooms smelled like cigarettes. We had to ask to be moved. I mean, this hotel costs us 109 dollars but felt more like a 69 dollar rate. I can't even give the staff a good rating because it was concerning that they didn't smell the weed and made us call the cops on our own. There has to be much better places to stay to get your...
Read moreThe staff was friendly and welcoming. We were informed that the indoor pool was open, but the heater was out and was not scheduled to be fixed yet, so the water was likely close to 60 degrees. One room key did not work, and then they said it was the battery on the door, so maintenance came to change it out. It worked for awhile. Then that same key that hadn't worked before stopped working again, so we had 1 key. When we left to go out on our 3rd day and returned, neither key worked at all, and we were informed they had been programmed for the wrong number of days, and so had to be reprogrammed for the remaining number of days. Also, breakfast was a joke. A package of 2 muffins, an apple or orange, and an 8 ounce botle of water is not what was listed on the website as breakfast. I understand that in light of the coronavirus, changes had to be made, but there was no mention of this via email communication or on the website, and we were not informed by staff upon arrival. I asked when breakfast was, and then further inquired as to what it entailed because every hotel chain has a different definition of continental breakfast. I was informed re the muffins and fruit. It isn't that I'm morally opposed to any of this and I do applaud the hotel for trying to stay within CDC guidelines and working with what they can. I would have liked to have been informed beforehand, so I could have budgeted for more food. I had a very limited amount set to spend on food and because I had to sacrifice more of my other money for souvenirs and such on food, I was not able to enjoy my trip as much as I could have. All this aside, the staff was very apologetic and very happy to do what they could to make things right again.
The room was very neat and was cleaned each day we left. The water in the shower and the hot tub got hot quickly and stayed hot until I was happy with the heat in the hot tub or my shower was finished. The garbage was changed each day as well, which is a plus. Both the freezer and the refrigerator parts of the mini fridge worked well and kept eveything cold or frozen. The air conditioner was great and it didn't have any problems. There were 4 lamps in this room, in additon to 2 overhead lights, so plenty of light was never an issue. The bed was super comfortable and roomy. My pillows were feathered, which normally I don't care for, but these were surprisingly comfy as well. I slept very well all 3 nights despite VERY LOUD upstairs neighbors. There was a soda vending machine, which took cards. This is a huge plus, since I rarely carry cash. This hotel is located near just about any kind of food you could want, and Walmart is next door. I'm not familiar with Indianapolis as a whole, but the hotel was easy to find and easy to remember where it was located, so returning each day was simple. Plenty of parking and even able to park on the side of the...
