I was at Walgreens today and decided I needed to write this. I have spent a fortune there in the past year plus. As a transplanted Chicagoan, Walgreens is a staple and I've always enjoyed great Walgreens items (even though they can be pricey), the service and their store brands. This location is very convenient to me, so I've gone OFTEN in the past 18 months. However, they seem to have great difficulty honoring the sale prices they advertise. I have had to frequently question the price as being incorrect, while explaining the sale parameters to the cashier. They then become annoyed and scoff at what you know to be true. Upon insistence, they begrudgingly travel to the aisle in question to learn the item(s) is in fact (surprise), on sale. Even then, I have had to return back to the store after finding an item was double charged (this experience occurred again TODAY). I had exited one minute previously and came back in. The cashier asked me to get the item from my car (no idea why, I had the receipt), the person who assisted with the "this is not on sale," items only moments ago, acknowledged I had just exited the store. After more confusion, the clerk then credited my card and kept the item. I explained for the third time that the item was in fact mine, however, I had been charged twice for it. It was obvious even after several explanations, that he did not understand. As a result, I was late for work and it was an extremely frustrating process. About a year ago, I found the service to be seamless and the employees attentive and friendly. Now, it appears the customer is a nuisance and the general overall disdain by my extensive patronage will keep me out of this location in the future....
Read moreCame to this pharmacy today where I had my sons ER prescription transferred to because my pharmacy was closed. I was told that there was no valid insurance information so I gave them his insurance card. I was not aware there was an RX card for BCBS now but that’s my mistake. What I did not need was the attitude advising to the pharmacist I believe she was in a white coat from the nurse oh she cannot use that (I am right here). I could have been informed as you were speaking about my issue to the pharmacist like I was not present. From what I overheard this nurse or tech has been here for a long time. I get times changes and mannerism is basically thrown out the door but I received nothing but pure irritation from this tech. Take the time to educate customers; I get they are busy and understaff most of the times, but every customer is different and should be approached as such. Without hesitation, I was advised they could not fill the prescription without even offering the out of pocket expense. So I asked how much was it, she said $29. My golly I thought she was gone to say $290 and even then I can afford to pay for my sons prescription. Please take this as constructive criticism ! OFFER THE OUT of pocket expense before you dismiss another customer who was picking up antibiotics for her 4 year olds PNEUMONIA! First and last time filling my meds at this...
Read moreKnowing that I was running low, and that my medication refill was due, I contacted my doctor, who promptly called in my prescription. I went to pick it up, and the Indian lady abrasively told me that it wasn't on their record. I showed her on my phone where my doctor sent an email showing that they sent it in. She became belligerent and denied that I had a prescription. I showed her further proof that Walgreens on Pendleton Pike texted me, showing that I had a prescription. She actually denied any such communication, despite it being in my messages. So, I called their number and accessed the automated system, which showed that I did have a prescription. Once again, she denied any such prescription. The entire time, she never looked up at me; simply staring at her computer. This morning, I called, and received the same word tracks from another pharmacy technician. I tried to explain that my medication isn't something that can be skipped, and has to be taken regularly everyday. Silence. She didn't care. So, I'll rely on relatives who have the same medication to get me through until Monday, when I can once again deal with this conundrum. I've never seen such blatant incompetence and arrogant indifference! Once this matter is settled, I will seek a competent pharmacy (in...
