First time we've ever been in a hotel, and I'm so happy we chose this one! The outside is super pretty at night, and the pool/hot tub is located in a building across the main entrance from the hotel. The ladies who checked us in at night and checked us out in the morning were very friendly and the lobby was laid back.
Our room and bathroom were very clean, no complaints there! The housekeeper who fixed up our room before we got there, Paula, left us a kind note welcoming us and wishing us a Merry Christmas! Our room was equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker which I wasn't expecting, along with the usual things like a TV, desk, etc. The chairs in the room were SO comfy, I'm pretty sure my husband would've bought it from the hotel if he could. We did put up a do not disturb sign for our 2 night stay and our privacy was respected.
We visited the restaurant, accessible through the inside of the hotel and outside as well. Very laid back and it wasn't crowded at all. We got there around 10 in the morning. Complimentary breakfast allows you to pick 2 food items and 2 beverages from the list on a card provided by the front desk. You also have the option of getting anything else on the menu, as long as you pay the difference, which is what we ended up doing. There's also a breakfast buffet in the hotel with a dining area. The staff member working there was friendly, and making sure the counters were clean and food was stocked!
We didn't walk around town, but we did go to Serenity Spa, which can be accessed through the inside and outside of the hotel. The staff were very friendly, I really love when I encounter people who are genuinely welcoming and caring. Shoutout to Brittany who did my pedicure, and Amanda who did my husband's pedicure. You can tell they take pride in their work and they were so nice!!
Amazing staff, clean room, all in all a great location to visit. I will definitely tell friends and family to stay here and...
Read moreWe stayed in Room 139 on the first floor, a King room that was very clean and comfortable. Though not overly spacious, the room was well-appointed with good WiFi connectivity. The bathroom featured a shower with tub that wasn't too high, and a toilet that might be a bit low for taller guests but was suitable for my wife. The toilet and shower were in a separate room from the sink, offering privacy and convenience. The closet space was adequate, and the large screen TV was a nice touch. One of the highlights was the door leading to a private patio, which was small but clean and provided a pleasant outdoor space. We had a restful sleep as the hotel was remarkably quiet. The HVAC system operated efficiently and silently, contributing to a comfortable environment. Breakfast at the hotel was exceptional, particularly the coffee, which was the best I've ever had at a hotel or cafe. They use a brand called Lancaster County Coffee, which I highly recommend. Housekeeping did a commendable job of maintaining our room and replenishing towels. However, they did move our personal pillows off the bed and replace them with the hotel pillows, despite it being evident that we preferred using our own pillows from home. This is a minor issue and not a reflection on the hotel's overall service. During our stay, we encountered small ants in the room. While they did not bother us enough to request a room change, the hotel should consider using a more effective pest control solution. The ants were few and not particularly bothersome. The bath soap was gentle on the skin, though the Kleenex provided was quite coarse, akin to sandpaper. On a positive note, there were plenty of towels available, all of which were soft and in good condition. Overall, our experience at the hotel was positive, with excellent amenities and a restful atmosphere. A few minor issues did not detract from the overall quality of our stay. I would definitely...
Read moreIMO, this is the Best hotel to stay in the area. Location, location!! Close to so many things in the area that most are interested in visiting, like Kitchen Kettle Village, Stolzfus meats, various smorgasbords, Emma's Popcorn, Lapp Dairy Ice Cream and so much more.
The staff here is excellent. Friendly, yet professional, competent, helpful, and courteous. There really aren't enough words to describe how fantastic they are at executing their jobs. Not just the desk clerks, but all of those who clean the rooms and even the restaurant staff. You don't have employees like this without good management to reflect the same behavior and support them. I applaud all of you for the dedication you have to your jobs!! It really shows!
The property is very well taken care of, inside and out. Nicely landscaped outside. Ample parking. Outside, there's a fire pit with seating. The indoor pool and hot tub are in a separate building within steps of the hotel entrance. They also have a spa on site. I've not indulged, but suspect reservations are needed for their services.
The guest rooms are very clean and spacious. The beds are comfortable, and the bedding is very soft. The shower is quite nice, as are the toiletries. There's also a frig, microwave, coffee maker, and of course a tv. Some rooms have a private balcony. You'll hear the clip clop of horse hooves as it's right off a main street.
Guests receive a complimentary breakfast that has an array of cold and hot items on the buffet. Because this is in their actual restaurant, the food is prepared on site. The scrambled eggs are made with real eggs, not powdered ones that other hotels have. They also serve lunch and dinner (not free) and are open to the general public, not just guests. They have a bar inside, too. The dining area itself is decorated nicely and quite comfortable.
All in all, it's a joy to stay here, and we...
