I was unable to reach them but email the company three times about a reservation. I did hear back from them and we chatted three times before our appointment. When we arrived at our appointed time 10 am they didnt have us on the schedule but hurried made up a small table in the back for us. There was a group of 12 on the schedule They never showed so the main table remained empty and even they suggested and we asked to move they kept us in the back. There is a 10 minute intro how the many things to make. Sadly we couldnt hear a thing. There is a exercise studio next door that had music going and since we in the back next to the kitchen there was an employee washing dishes during our instructions that made it impossible to hear. Rather than stopping washing the dishes for 10 minutes , our instruction used a mic that didnt help at all. FIrst we got the sales spill, then how many things we could make then were left on our own. They off free samples-- unlimited samples but what it is, is one free sample per person, I had to ask her to cut it into forths so we could share. We had come for the 1/2 which is 11 chocolates. We were there an hour and half. mostly because we waited for the other group so it was a late start. I actually want to select the family night promo but it was discribed differently by each employee and not knowing which was correct , we just made our 11. we were over by a few grams and were charged for it. It certainly did not look like 100.00 worth of chocolate. The employees were young and busy doing other things during our visit , they never tried to help or interact. if we needed things we had to ask. On a scal mof 1 to 5 my girls gave it a three. we had wanted to go to the Provo location but...
Read moreWe were disappointed (to say the least) in our experience at Just Add Chocolate Lehi. The 3 young girls working there were more interested in talking/gossiping amongst themselves, & even said something rude about our group at one point. There was a completly innocent misunderstanding at the beginning that made them annoyed, it stretched to our entire experience & they helped us very little throughout our time at their store. They provided very little instruction & when asked questions they were unclear/short when they spoke to us. All each girl wanted to do was go back & talk behind the counter with the two other employees. At one point when we asked for clarification & she said, "well that is what I meant and already said', but that is not what she verbally said. She also turned to my husband & said, "do you get? Because obliviously your wife doesn't". Rude. The 5-minute video they gave us to instruct us was useless, it would have been way easier to understand & more fun if they'd given us a 5-minute demonstration instead. Our group was the only one in the store, they had plenty of time to spend with us yet spent zero time with us. The price was extremely unreasonable as well, it was not what they had advertised on their website. They expected us to understand the pricing/everything without any instruction at the beginning. At one point 1 employee was eating potato chips out of the dish set aside for us to dip, with her gloves on that she was touching everything else with (gross), but they wouldn't let us sample anything at all. Overall we were very disappointed, we had been looking forward to this for weeks and were...
Read moreMy low review only stems from the fact that I walked in and wanted a quick chocolate fix. I was surprised to see that this establishment was actually a little chocolate making factory and there were kids and adults in the rear making chocolate. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and asked if I was aware of how the place “worked”. I had no idea that it was creative place for Parties, Date Nights, etc. Although there were few option available in the buy and go display case I chose 2 chocolate covered Oreos and 2 white chocolate covered fortune cookies. The total came to $5.07. Here is where I have a problem. The items I chose were stale long beyond the time they should have been sold to the public. The Oreos were not brand either. They were defiantly generic because I know Oreos. They had no crispness left and the fortune cookies were almost rancid. I threw all of it away. With Corvid I’m finding that I throw a lot of money away lately with wrong orders, missing orders that I’ve paid for and for old food. I appreciate times are hard for businesses but they are hard for everyone. I thought about bringing the uneaten candy back for a refund but it’s more trouble than it’s worth because I don’t know when I’ll be back in that area again. I could have better used that $5.00...
