The moment you arrive, you’re greeted by vibrant murals, perfectly placed benches (ideal for your iced coffee selfie), and flower beds that look like they’ve been curated by Mother Nature and an interior designer. It’s less about hiking boots and more about community vibes — you’ll find people walking dogs, kids chasing bubbles, and local artists adding pops of color to every corner.

Whether you’re there to picnic under the shady trees, join a yoga-in-the-park morning, or just soak in that “urban oasis” feeling, Bixby Knolls National Park nails it. It’s not Yellowstone — it’s Your-stone — the little patch of calm and creativity that makes Long Beach shine even brighter.

I usually jog around the park most mornings! It is so awesome being around nature....the sounds of nature, and especially the smell of nature!! There was a sighting of a deer, a snail, and a squirrel. I tried to go for a swim in the lake and under the manmade bridge but almost downed in the rock pebbles. This is a must see if your local or in the area. Not the largest national park, seen bigger but it is so beautiful. Parking is free, and city is working on a playground, baseball field, basketball court, badminton/tennis/pickle/paddle tennis courts. Oh, and maybe a full size, pro soccer field!! Go Beach!! Shout out to Snoop from the LBC, he contributed majorly, and is said to be in talk with the city of opening up another VIP Records store and...

We had such fun at the tiny Bixby Knolls National Park. We were able to complete all of the trails, including the long haul over the treacherous bridge, with a spectacular view of Donut Rock! No Bungie jumping allowed on the bridge unfortunately but I am hopeful for some white water rafting adventures next year. Bixby Knolls is such a unique...
