DJ vs the crowd is not how a night club should handle itself. I've never seen so many people so desperate to dance and a DJ so intent on not letting them. The DJ here sucked and insisted on playing what HE wanted to hear instead of the crowd that he's paid to entertain and show a good time to. The few times the DJ started playing something that got the crowd undeniably visibly excited, he'd almost immediately change the song to something quite opposite: for example, playing 30 sec of Feel So Close by Calvin Harris then transitioning into Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N Roses then immediately into Don't Stop Believing by Journey... Really? Those songs are not compatible and seriously dude, pick a theme! The patrons here all seemed pretty cool and just looking to have a good time; quite a few were pretty dressed up. The drinks are excellent, definitely quality but you have to wait about 30 minutes before the bar opens up enough to actually order a drink. It's tough to get the bartender's attention but once you do, they're very professional and respectful. All in all, this place is definitely worth checking out, especially if they start getting better DJs who will actually play dance music for the tons of people who show up clearly...
Read moreI really enjoyed my first experience at the Lincoln. As much as I drive through this area, I had no idea this place existed. The ambiance was quickly my favorite and great first impression. I love the rustic type of decor. I'll admit that I was coming from a bottomless birthday brunch and a rooftop lounge, so I was a happy mess ready to grub. Unfortunately they do not have a kitchen, however, they make up for it with the complimentary hot dogs they have for anyone to get. That sufficed for the moment.
I absolutely loved the cocktails, especially the clever names. I was going for my basic whiskey ginger, but couldn't come to this place and not try one of the cocktails. No regrets, the Bitter About My Hot Friend was so damn good, I even got others from my group to get one. The beer was flowing as well in the large table we had in what looks like a green house section of the building. They also have board games that we all played as a group. Lots of fun and laughter.
As time passed, the place started to get packed so if you want a seat, I would suggest earlier arrival. Looking forward to paying this place...
Read moreThe bouncer at the door was sarcastic, taunting, condescending and not at all accommodating. It was our first time going to this bar two of the three people in my party had our IDs checked and approved the third one was rejected because the ID looked a little worn even though the birthdate on the ID was legible and after we tried to give the bouncer two other forms of ID with birthdates he refused to let in the third individual in the group. We asked for a manager the bouncer told us to go get one. The bar manager was the only one available and instead of looking at the facts and letting us explain the situation his response was "I will try to help you but let me look at the cards" he didn't want us to explain he wanted us to be quiet while he looked at the cards and he stated that he trusts the bouncer and respects what the bouncers decision is while disregarding the facts. We were calm and patient, despite the attitude we were being given. The Lincoln had good reviews we ended up being very dissapointed by the...
