Hello Candlewood Suites Loveland, CO: My wife and I stayed at the Candlewood Suites hotel in Loveland, CO on Saturday night, October 2nd checking in around 4:00pm that afternoon. We had a late checkout around 1:30pm on Sunday afternoon, October 3rd courtesy of a very nice lady whom we met on Saturday and again on Sunday when we left. We traveled back to Arizona on Monday, October 4th arriving late in the evening when and I realized while unpacking that I had left my Merrell hiking boots and socks in the room that we stayed in on that Saturday night.
I immediately called the hotel the following Tuesday morning October 5th and spoke to a gentleman whose name I believe was Wayne and two additional ladies since my original call. I was told by Melody that she spoke to the house keeper who cleaned the room and the house keeper told her that she did in fact find the boots and socks, put them in a bag, and brought them down to log into the lost and found log. Unfortunately, they never made it to the log or the locker and have since disappeared. Both my wife and I have called this hotel multiple times, as recently as this afternoon speaking to Melody who is unable to locate the boots and socks, there has been no follow up since last week which is unacceptable.
My wife and I drove from Chandler, AZ to Loveland staying at Holiday Inn Expresses along the way, however I absolutely know those boots were in our room on Saturday night, October 2nd when I took them off near the bed and also know that I left them in the room when we checked out on Sunday, October 3rd. It is most disappointing that Melody actually remembers them getting to the desk, but from that point it is anybody's guess where they went. My problem is not with your housekeeper who was honest enough to bring them to the front desk as lost and found, my problem is with the person dishonest enough to see my boots and socks as an opportunity to make them theirs.
I am a Spire Elite member of IHG staying over 40 nights this year in IHG hotels all the way from Toluca, Mexico to Quebec City, Canada as well as multiple IHG hotels in most of the western United States. Never, ever have I had even one issue like this happen and truly value my relationship with IHG as your hotel chain is the first hotel chain I look at when traveling for business or pleasure. As I said above, if the housekeeper hadn't found them and Melody would have come back and said no they weren't there, hey my fault for losing them. But for the housekeeper to find them, bring them to lost and found, attempting to do the right thing, that is admirable. She should be valued and appreciated as she is what brings customers back to your hotels. For them to disappear at the hands of someone who is far less honest than your housekeeper, that is simply downright dishonest and I have to believe that any room and guest's valuables whom this person has access to, is far less than safe.
This would be the sixth trip my wife and I have made to various cities in Colorado, our third to Loveland this year. I am getting ready to accept a position with a food manufacturing facility in Greeley and will need temporary living for some time before finding a permanent residence and I would like to consider one of your hotels for my temporary housing, however after zero follow up, I will look elsewhere, which is very sad.
I have contacted IHG corporate who can hopefully make this right in light of the hotel manager not reaching out to me in well over a week which is simply unacceptable. Again, had my boots not been found by your housekeeper, my fault, but for them to be found and disappear that creates a huge trust issue for me with your hotels, as well as the hotel management team with the folks that work at the hotel. I look forward to your call at your earliest convenience.
Thank you,
Scott Lyons

FIRST TIME I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH CANDLEWOOD SUITS!!!. I STAYED IN THIS HOTEL FROM 17TH THROUGH 19TH OF MARCH, 2024. I HAD MY FRIEND AND HIS SON
STAY WITH ME. MY FRIEND AND HIS SON HAD TO CATCH THEIR FLIGHT EARLY MORNING AND WE STARTED FROM THE HOTEL AT AROUND 3:30AM.
WE GOT INTO THE ELEVATOR AND WE WERE TRAPPED IN THE ELEVATOR. WE REACHED OUT TO THE HELP NUMBER ON THE ELEVATOR AND THEY TOOK AROUND 10-15 MINS TO SEND SOMEONE OVER. THEY WERE TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR BUT THEY COULD NOT. I HAVE HEART AILMENTS AND AFTER SOME TIME I WAS GASPING TO BREATHE.
I SLIDED DOWN AND WAS ALMOST PASSING OUT. I HAD MY FRIEND CALL 911 AND THE FIRE FIGHTERS CAME IN AND OPENED THE DOORS FOR US. MY BODY
WAS SHAKING AND I WAS NOT IN MY SENSES. I THOUGHT I AM GOING TO DIE. THE PARAMEDICS EVALUATED ME AND THE EKG WAS ABNORMAL. I WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE ER. MY FRIEND MISSED HIS FLIGHT TO STAY WITH ME.
THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT WAS JUST WATCHING ALL THIS INCIDENTS. I AM A BUSINESS VISITOR TO THE USA AND I WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE HOSPITAL EXPENSES. WE TRIED TO REACH OUT TO THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT TO SEEK HELP TO TAKE CARE OF THE HOSPITAL EXPENSES AND BOOK HIS FLIGHT TICKETS THEY WERE SARCASTIC. THEY DID NOT EVEN CARE TO INQUIRE ABOUT HOW I WAS DOING
AT THE HOSPITAL. THE FRONT DESK PASSED ON THE BATON TO HIS MANAGER AND THE MANAGER WAS ON THE PHONE HEARING TO OUR CONVERSATION BUT NEVER
HAD THE COURAGE OR HUMANITY TO TALK TO US DIRECTLY. SHAME ON THE REGIONAL MANAGER.
AFTER FOLLOW UP, FINALLY THEY VERY MUCH KIND ENOUGH TO WAIVED OFF MY 2 NIGHTS HOTEL STAY. SO I REALLY APPRICIATE THEM TOWARDS THIS INCIDENT FOR NOT TAKING ANY REPONSIBILITY AS IT WAS PURLY OUR MISTAKE AND WE NEED TO BEAR ALL THE BELOW.
HOSPITAL EXPENSES DUE TO THIS INCIDENT (STILL AWAITED FROM UC HEALTH)
FLIGHT REBOOKING EXPENSES DUE TO THIS TRAP
I TOOK PAID TIME OFF (MY SALARY)
POST PANIC THERAPY TREATMENT DUE TO MENTAL TRAUMA
MOST IMPORTANT, I HAVE BECOME ELEVATOR PHOPIC (ANYONE CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT...
Read moreDescent place if only they would actually clean the rooms and make sure of changing linens,, Was there for work and ended up waking up to bites on my arm, I notified the front desk and she said she would have the room cleaned as upon my request I suggested, When I came back the room looked somewhat clean but then that night I got bit again so I took off the covers and discovered 4 bed bugs , I went down to the front to find no one working ,there was a number to call in case of emergency so I called and well I waited for the guy to come from the holiday inn I went back up to grab my keys and I found another bed bug ,not to mention I took photos and video of these awful things and presented it to him when I went back down and he said they were not bed bugs, he then said that both the candlewood and the holiday inn were sold out that he couldn't accommodate me another room, not to mention this was on a Wednesday night, he suggested I get a hold of my company and see if they can book me a room somewhere else. This is at 130am there's no way I can get a room at this time from my company nor will they get back to me until normal hours their im the office,, with multiple bites and no solution i demanded new sheets a vacuum which he at first said they didn't have but then happened to find one, as well as cleaning supplies and of course he couldnt give me any,so I went and bought my own cleaning supplies so I can clean the room and finish my business trip as for I was there until Friday. He said that he will make note of it and someone will get in contact with me that morning when someone came in,, with frustration i just grabbed the vacuum and linens and walked off..I never got in contact with nor did they ever address the situation which is why im writing this review.i would recommend everyone to shake and check ur bedding prior...
