Read moreOur stay was fine. Room was small but clean. I was taking a hot shower with the door open and the steam from that set off the smoke alarm. My husband informed the staff that was what had happened. Later on he was taking a shower and I opened up the door to grab something out of the bathroom and it went off again. Honestly no problems aside from that until after checkout when I didn’t get my 100$ deposit back. When I called and spoke to someone about it I was told they retained my deposit for smoking in the room which I adamantly denied. Absolutely nothing of any kind of anything was smoked in there. She proceeded to argue with me in an extremely condescending tone using the smoke alarms having gone off as one of her reasons to believe we had smoked and added that it also “smelled like stale smoke from drugs which she knows the smell of”. Then added that there was blood on the sheets and “drugs left in the room which they have pictures of” I relayed the blood on the sheets was accidental caused by an unfortunate womanly event. As far as drugs and the smoking of drugs goes, I knew nothing of the presence of drugs, but for argument’s sake, leaving drugs in the room did not cause damage and I am not agreeable to having to be charged for that if they were actually even there at all. She continued to be argumentative with me, refusing to return my deposit. I respectfully asked if she would mind emailing me a copy of the paper I signed for incidentals to which she nastily replied No! And hung up on me while I was speaking. Totally unprofessional. Not worth more of my time than that which I have already wasted writing this review to try and get my money back and have her job taken from her, though I very much would like to see her fired for speaking to a guest that way, insisting on false happenings. I’m sure she knows that smell for a reason and karma sucks. First and last time there....
Read moreThis is a budget hotel but you should still temper your expectations.
Rooms are small, but they are clean. The bed was moderately comfortable. I sleep hot and even with the AC on I still felt uncomfortably hot while in bed. Television service is essentially basic cable. There was a mini fridge and a microwave in the room. One good thing of note was there were ample plug in points and even some USB A plugs.
Service was hit or miss. Occasionally there were employees or guests smoking outside the main entrance. They won't collect your towels and bedding for three days, which I feel is pretty standard. However, most hotels will still do a daily housekeeping and turndown service, not here. Attention to detail was lacking as well. The over head light in the room entrance did not work. Housekeeping did not clear the alarm clock so it went off at 5 am the first morning. The second morning the fire alarm went off at 7 am for no apparent reason and had been shut off by the time I managed to get dressed and put on shoes to evacuate. When I asked the front desk if there were any issues I was told no that everything was fine. No apologies about the alarm having gone off were made though. The continental breakfast was on par for what I would expect from a hotel in this quality range. They did have a waffle iron though.
Location is pretty good. It is near the freeway exit and there are several decent restaurants in walking distance. Downtown Loveland is about a 10 minute drive away.
Overall I think this is a mediocre place to stay. Service is definitely the weak point. I was attending a conference at the nearby conference center and some of my friends stayed at the My Place next door to this property and had a significantly better experience with larger rooms and better service for an almost...
