Our room clearly had not been vacuumed prior to us checking in, but I was too tired to deal with it after driving all day. I had to ask them 3 times to come vacuum the room the next day. They tried to say that it had been checked off as being done during “normal housekeeping” Nope, it was not. The next time the guy managed to only vacuum up the donut pieces in the hallway that someone dropping in the morning, he never made it to the room. Maybe he got lost??? Finally he was able to come vacuum our room. But all of these times I had an issue, I could not call the front desk because the phone didn’t work. Take a look at the photo and see if you can figure out why. They came to look at it and he said, “Replace”. As he was leaving, our air conditioner sounded like animals were living inside it and were trying to get out. How in the world can we sleep with that?? He comes back in our room and thinks he fixes it, because it stops making the noises. He says, “Front desk”. Believe it or not, no one came back to our room. I had to go back downstairs again.....remember, we don’t have a working phone. Surprise! No one was aware of the phone problem and air conditioner problem. I guess it was my responsibility to come tell them, not their employee’s. Of course they don’t have any one there from maintenance to look at either thing and they are fully booked. I was assured that someone would be to our room at 8:30am (tomorrow) to look at them. 11:00pm - Someone clogs our toilet. I was smart this time, I called from my cell phone, but of course, no one answered. Downstairs I go....again. I said, “It’s me again!!” I tell him about the toilet and he sends up the same guy who did our vacuuming and “fixed” the air conditioner. He has to leave and come back, he needed better equipment. Ok, now he says it is good. Yay! Took one look at the toilet and I stormed out of the room....again! I was furious! Who plunges a toilet and doesn’t lift the toilet seat first?? I’m not using a toilet with poopy water all over the toilet seat. The front desk tells me that they don’t have anyone on staff who can clean off the toilet seat. You have got to be kidding me!! I have to clean it?? “Get me the chemicals, I guess I will clean up the mess your employee made!!” 😡 I wanted to chuck the cleaner and rag down the hallway, but I restrained myself and set it outside our door in the middle of the hallway. 12:00am - New hotel reservations have been made elsewhere. On the night stand I had the book I was about to read before the toilet situation.....The No Complaining Rule.....I guess that will have to wait. 7:00 - Shower time....just kidding. I can’t do it. Mom does and she barely made it out alive!! 8:00am - Check out......they will not refund any of my money. She just kept saying the saying the same thing over and over “Don’t you want me to switch you to another room? I can’t refund you”. STOP SAYING THAT!! You can email me the checkout info once your manager is...
Read moreNo! No! No! DONT DO IT, don’t think about it!!! Absolutely disgusting. Even if you have the worst and lowest standards in the world, this would completely have even the calmest person in shambles. Not cleaned, one bit. Crumbs and even found an earring on the floor. Nasty stains across the walls, stains on places where stains shouldn’t even be.. broken handles to the drawers, gum (or what I think is gum) stuck on the carpet of the floor which I literally had my shoe stuck on! Followed by damaged appliances, towels weren’t even folded… There was hair found stuck to the iron, obviously used roll of toilet paper.. wasn’t a screen in the window, obviously a big safety hazard… plus bugs?? The sheets weren’t even washed with stains all over, the hallways were trashed with garbage. Walls could’ve at least been painted.. like what??? You couldn’t get me to come back if you paid me. With the rude staff I wish I would’ve taken the time to read the reviews first. My biggest mistake. Wrote this as soon as I checked in.
You’d think for somewhere located in Madison Heights that it would be SOMEWHAT of a tolerable and decent location. Please don’t do it, even with the convenient price. $40 to check in earlier plus $50 deposit. $90 that shouldn’t be allowed to be charged anyways. This place should literally have paid US to stay here. It was THAT! BAD! If I could give it no stars, I would. What was supposed to be a nice relaxing night out, turned into a stressful night where I felt constantly like I was being bitten by bugs (I probably was) too scared to sleep, and afraid for my kids. The fact that this was more of a TRAP SPOT rather than A REGULATED ESTABLISHMENT has me disturbed. I have fairly enjoyed Days Inn in the past but this one has me completely boycotting them for good. This location has the Rochester location look like PARADISE and they should all get a raise. It is ther much better. I have no idea how this one is allowed to have 2 stars. These reviews are not fiction, they are 100% fact and please, please plan accordingly. Nothing but a safety and health hazard. Not only adults but children too!!! How and why has Days Inn allowed this location to stay open with nothing but horrible reviews on EVERY SINGLE POST! Don’t they care enough to make sure each one is regularly inspected and take responsibility to make them habitable? An investigation needs to be done at once and something needs to be done. PLEASE CLOSE OR...
Read moreIMPORTANT PLEASE READ DRUG AND PROSTITUTION HOUSE I recently took a family vacation we booked our reservation online and arrived at 1145pm got our kids(8&2) settled in and went to bed.when we got up in the morning we no more than got dressed and ready for the day and set out for breakfast and a day enjoying the SEALIFE AQUARIUM.after being gone for five or six hours we later returned for our youngest to lay down and have a nap for the day. Not ten minutes after returning to the hotel we had our youngest daughter approached us with a black plastic bag containing two crack pipes and what appeared to be leftover containers from the drugs. I was very upset and went down to the front desk to approach the management about what my daughter had brought to us and they were not only not surprised but not willing to do anything about the situation that had occurred or have any remorse for the situation that occurred. I contacted the local police and they ended up coming to the hotel and before they could see the evidence the desk clerk had already took it upon himself to dispose of paraphernalia. After which the local police had told me and that that hotel was known for nothing other than drugs and prostitution. Being from 4 hours north of Madison Heights we had no idea of the hotel's reputation. The management not only refused to refund us anything and had no remorse but after conflict they took it upon themselves to cancel our car keys which we were not able to enter into our room again with all of our belongings still inside of the room. I contacted the corporate office and they were very very helpful and took us out of that hotel room refunded us and full and also put us in one of their very nice locations that happened to be a nice upscale establishment closer to the attractions. I do not recommend attending this facility unless you're going there to do drugs or find a local prostitute!!!!!!!! Please let me remind you that this was my two-year-old daughter that found this stuff. Not to mention while I was on the phone on hold for 2 hours with the corporate office my eight year old daughter found a razor blade on top of the head board above her bed containing White Drug residue...
