I would highly recommend going to another place. The messed up my meal with one of my coworkers meals and didn’t offer to fix it. When the cook made the mistake he yelled at the waitress. They must be very hard up for cash but aren’t we all? They brought out garlic sauce and pita bread to the table before bringing out our food. When I get my portion of the bill they charged me for the garlic sauce and my chicken Schwarma. I told the waitress that I didn’t order garlic sauce and she was trying to tell me it comes with my meal but if that’s the case why am I charged full price for the lunch entree and then an additional amount for the garlic sauce and pita bread? She walks away and talks to the cook. A big burly man comes barreling out of the kitchen asking what the problem was. I politely told him I wasn’t paying for the garlic sauce and to remove it. The big burly man said that I would pay for it and when I told him I wouldn’t pay for anything then, he said he would call the cops. I told him to go ahead, knowing that would get no where ((amazed that this jerk would waste a cops time on two bucks)). Well, he never called the cops, which wasn’t surprising. I knew he was trying to intimidate me to pay for something I didn’t order. We assumed it was a part of the meal like bread or chips and salsa and they never mentioned any additional charge for it. I’m sure they get away with this all the time but this is a scam and I would avoid going there unless you want to get ripped off for...
Read moreIf you want a really good salad at a reasonable price, go to Oasis Mediterranean in Warren. Decided to try Royal Grill today for the 1st time because it was closer. Ordered the Fattoush Tawook Salad for $10.99 (menu below). During pickup I was charged $13.99. Asked why $3 more? The lady said "Because you ordered the Fattoush Tawook and it costs more". Got home, rechecked their menu, and confirmed it shows $10.99 (no size designation). Called back and was told by a gentleman "It cost more because you got a chicken breast with it!". Explained that the menu says a "chicken breast" comes with it for $10.99. After ending my discussion, I get a call back. This time it's the lady who took my order She said "Because you ordered a large". (This is the 3rd story I was given.) Anyway, the salad definitely wasn't worth $13.99. The dressing was watery. The minimal lettuce it contained was the hard, crunchy end of Romain Lettuce, and it contained more cucumbers, tomatoes and green bell pepper than lettuce.
At Oasis, you get the same salad, same size container for $10.99, and it's loaded with chicken. There is so much salad & chicken you can't eat the entire salad. In addition, they also give you a bag full of Pita bread and two containers of Yogurt sauce - all for $10.99. Royal Grill didn't even offer bread! I guess they change their prices depending on how you look during pickup. Lesson Learned! I won't...
Read moreThe food was great, looked fresh and tasted great. Few things the menu is very off on pricing. The daily special sheet said half chicken off bone $9.99 so that is what I ordered . She asked if I wanted garlic I said sure just a really small one, asked if I wanted bread I said sure. A side salad came with the special I got a fattoush and it was fabulous! The bread came and it was the bagged type pita not warm bread which was fine I’m not a big bread eater. Food came and it was delicious and large serving so I got a box to take the majority of it home. When I got the bill the special was really $12.99 not $9.99 and I had a garlic charge of $1.99 . While that was fine because it still seemed reasonable but had I known ahead of time I would have just stuck with a fattoush with chicken as all I really wanted was a salad and chicken but looked at the better deal and got it the other way. Seems like a family owned place and waitress was friendly. It’s really close to my work so I plan to go back again and take some friends for lunch. They got quite a bit of carry out service while I was there. They should update the menu and while it looks like they have a line through prices they should just update with a marker the actual prices so...
