Ok so have been wanting to go there and finally had off from work since they are not open on weekends. First, I must add that my expectations were very high based on all the social media attention this place gets. Also not sure if the other location is better so this review is only for the one next to Oakland mall. I had the shrimp po boy sandwich. My son had the cheesesteak sandwich. We both got fries and asked for well done and crispy. I got the plain and he got the garlic .... We also got the Buffalo chicken egg rolls to share. Egg rolls were just okay. No flavor. Just filled with chicken. The bbq ranch sauce was too sweet but the garlic cilantro aioli was good. My shrimp po boy had no flavor. The shrimp needed seasoning. They do put a dressing that tasted like the usual remoulade nothing special. The bread was good as they must of put in a press. Both our fries were soggy. Our food temp was not hot it was very cool which was surprising especially when you fry usually it doesn't get cold that quick. My son said his cheesesteak sandwich was way too much dressing it was dripping everywhere. He didn't get any flavor from the meat because the dressing overpowered everything. He did like it but didn't love it. The best thing was the spicy ketchup we did buy a bottle of it after. My son said we should try the original one as maybe this one isn't like it. We will give it a try another time. It may be awhile as hard to go when not open Saturday or Sunday. I know many people like this food truck and they may think I'm being too picky but I had to say the truth. I expected lots of seasoning and creativity but it failed. Of course do try yourself but just wanted to give you a heads up. Also no soda only water and the strawberry lemonade it was okay. Fyi you order the food away from truck inside the building and then someone from the food truck calls you when your food is ready. By the way it costs total almost 60.00 that includes the ketchup we purchased.

Finally made it to @detroit75kitchen for a late lunch today. We started off a little rough in the beginning with our order. We were given all the wrong food and told they had no napkins. This could have been fixed with a simple run to the store. Jeff got the Cajun catfish. The coating was absolutely spot on with a nice crunch. Not a heavy doughy batter and not at all greasy. 2 big filets served with a choice of fries. I opted to do the Cajun fries. They were just barely lukewarm warm and that was the real downfall. I would rate these at a 5 out of 10. The fish was probably the best I have had in many many years. 9.5 out of 10. The chicken egg rolls were ordered as a side and these were good as well. I would like for the wrapper to be a bit crispier but tasted good. 7 out of 10. Another plus is they give you all the dipping sauces with your meal and side. The jalapeño ketchup is very good. Good enough to buy a bottle to go. I would definitely give the food a thumbs up and recommend you try this place out. As for James, the Atwater chicken sandwich with the garlic fries were ordered. Might be the best sandwich I’ve ever had from a restaurant. I’ve never done it, but I’m going 10/10. The fried were delicious. Very garlic forward and had a nice kick of spice from it. Also could’ve been warmer, they came out too early. 8/10 flavor, docked a point for temp, 7/10. I also agree the egg rolls would be better if crispier but the flavor was great. Bbq ranch and cilantro aioli both paired well. 7.5/10. I will be back for the shrimp po boy next. Fix up a couple small things and this could be the best restaurant we’ve reviewed.

I went to the Detroit 75 Kitchen food truck located in Troy, on my way home from work. I ordered the 3rd St. Detroit Cheesesteak, BBQ Chicken Egg Rolls, the I-75 Chicken Shawarma, and the garlic hand-cut fries. The lady behind the counter told me that it was going to be about 20-25 minutes and that I will get a text when my order will be ready. I got the text 30 minutes later, but my food was not ready yet. Had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my food to be ready. I would rather you tell me up front that the wait time is 50 minutes and let me decide whether or not I wanted to wait, but instead you set some expectations, and make people wait when you can't meet those expectations. It was fast food not done fast. The food was good overall, the garlic fries is good if you're a fan of big garlicky flavor. You get a big kick of garlic flavor from a lot of fresh garlic they put on top of the fries. The garlic flavor really compliments the crispy fries. The cheesesteak was average, the steak inside could use some type of seasoning, it was kind of bland tasting. The bread was tasty, nice and crispy. The chicken in the shawarma was dry, this was also average. The chicken egg rolls were no longer crispy when I brought it home and they were also cold. The egg rolls alone were not very tasty, but the two sauces that came with them made it more palatable. I might give this place another try, perhaps eating the food there, instead of taking it home.

This might be THE most irritating restaurant experience I ever attempted . I live locally and decided to try this place . The first option I decided on was the steak and cheese. However, there are peppers and onions that come with it . I kindly requested that I would like one without peppers and onions . I was told I couldn’t get it . The steak is a premixed with the peppers and onions already . Do you mean they don’t make it fresh upon order ? They don’t add the peppers and onions when they grill it fresh ? Who would want any type of premixture ? Even Jersey Mikes makes theirs fresh . Next I asked about the fish sandwich . I was told they only have it on Fridays . But I noticed they serve fish outside of a sandwich . They also serve sandwiches. So I asked why wouldn’t they be willing to serve the fish with the bread from the other available sandwiches ? 1. They serve fish . 2. They serve sandwiches on bread 3. The logical conclusion would be they could serve fish on the bread that comes from the other sandwiches . Nope, they said they don’t do that - They only have fish sandwiches on Fridays . Next I asked , ok , can I order the fish and pay for an order of bread separately. Nope, they said they don’t sell bread separately. Exasperated, I said ok, just give me an order of fries with Ketchup . They said they don’t have regular ketchup. They only have jalapeño ketchup. But I don’t like jalapeños I told them - I just want regular ketchup . They said they don’t serve regular ketchup. Frustrated, I said forget it and I walked away . Irritated, no logic , no compromise, no willingness to fill simple requests. I will...
