An amazing Embassy Suites that will not leave you disappointed.
A beautiful contemporary modern look and design within the entire hotel. A really inviting lobby with plush seating. As a fan of astrophysics, I took note of this awesome copy of Carl Sagan's, Cosmos. Upon our arrival I was warmly greeted by front desk, Vidushi. She quickly provided us the room and directions and suggestions of places to eat.
The rooms are amazing with comfortable beds providing for a great night's sleep. I also enjoyed the blinds of the room. These blinds were amazing as even in the early morning hours I still believed it was night. Often blinds become overlooked but they're so essential for blocking the light providing for a well-rested sleep.
At breakfast I noticed all staff members helping clean the tables and preparing for the next patrons use. It was all hands on deck. Even the manager, Michael, was observed to be helping patrons and staff members cleaning the breakfast area. The breakfast is delicious as you would expect at any Embassy Suites. It's hard to single out any employee in this area as they all were working together. All should be given recognition. Moreover, I enjoyed and noticed the availability of coffee mugs as opposed to paper cups, which to me is a very nice touch.
I also enjoyed the evening reception. I like how they offered board games to enjoy with your party and, when coupled with drinks, makes for a fun afternoon.
The offer of a nice small convenience store or you can purchase snacks and other amenities you may have forgot to pack up on your trip. You can even buy a few souvenirs of Madison.
Parking can be done via valet or self parking lot right across the street. I thoroughly appreciate the valley explaining the parking options to us as we arrived. Kudos to him.
Overall, this is an Embassy Suites worth recognizing and visiting when...
Read moreHad a very nice stay here! Check in was easy, and the lady at the front desk was very kind. Loved the area, made it convenient to watch fireworks on the lake for 4th of July. 2 free drinks per guest was something we took advantage of and enjoyed meeting other people in the hotel. Their breakfast was pretty solid too if you want something to munch before finding a local place to eat. I guess the only couple downfalls were water pressure was horrible, took forever to run a tub. And by the time it filled up it was pretty much cold because the hot water isn’t very hot. Bad water pressure is the worst in hotels if you ask me. They try to be fancy by having room keys on your phone, which is nice, but then for some reason our regular card keys didn’t work. So it was alot of knocking on doors to get in throughout the day and night. And you kind of just wave at your neighbors as they too are knocking to get in. Also, something weird… checkout is @ 11a… it’s currently 9:15am and we’ve had two maids walk in on us looking to clean the room, and we have the DND on the door. And they’ll just unlock the door and start walking in! What’s the problem here? Our keys don’t work but theirs CERTAINLY do! I won’t return because of the water pressure personally, but if a bath isn’t important to you (it is to us) it would be a wonderful place to stay! Just make sure keys are handled, and double lock the door!!
Edit: I’ll bump this up from a 3 to a 4 because they were very kind about early check in and...
Read moreWe stayed in this amazing hotel last weekend for 3 nights. We went there with a group of ladies celebrating 20+years of friendship, and revisiting our alma mater. The hotel is brand new, and very clean. Augusta, the manager, went out of her way to make sure we felt welcomed. We stayed in a standard suite room with 2 queen beds. The room was plenty spacious for the 4 of us. Bed were very comfortable. We even had a view of Lake Monona from the 9th floor! There a a very nice sitting room at the entrance of the room with a pull-out couch. Bathroom area of very clean. They had wall mounted shampoo, conditioner and body wash which were very helpful since I forgot to bring my own. The buffet breakfast was really nice, and included with your stay! They had an omelette bar, as well as station for hot items, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc, as well as fresh fruit, pastries, cereal. And , of course coffee. Every evening they had a complementary reception at the bar for the hotel guests. Each of us received 2 drinks on the house. We only had time for one, of course because we wanted to explore all the rest Madison had to offer. The location of the hotel is perfect, less than a block away from the beautiful Capitol building. We were able to walk everywhere, to the famers market, to state street, even down to Memorial Union and the Terrace. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would love to come back with my family soon! Thank you again for such a...
