As a tourist visiting Madison, the Monona Terrace Community Center has been an absolute delight to explore. This architectural marvel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright offers not only a stunning rooftop terrace but also breathtaking views of Lake Monona and the majestic Capitol Building. The rooftop terrace of the Monona Terrace is a must-visit attraction. It provides a panoramic vista of the city, with the shimmering waters of Lake Monona stretching out before you. The view is simply mesmerizing, especially during sunrise or sunset when the sky is ablaze with vibrant colors. It's a perfect spot to capture memorable photos or simply take in the beauty of the surroundings. The proximity of the Monona Terrace to the Capitol Building is an added bonus. From the rooftop, you can marvel at the architectural grandeur of the Capitol, with its iconic dome rising proudly above the cityscape. The juxtaposition of modern design at the Monona Terrace and the historic charm of the Capitol creates a captivating visual contrast that showcases the city's rich heritage. Monona Terrace was the first choice of venue for our wedding, and it was the best choice. Apart from being an iconic Frank Lloyd Wright building that can be seen from most places in Madison, the Monona Terrace team were very professional and organized in helping set up our wedding day. From the tasting (which was very well executed) to the rehearsal to the actual wedding day, Marcia Terrones (our wedding manager) was friendly, courteous and accommodating of our many questions and requests. We were married at the Community Terrace which is a lovely room with sweeping views of Lake Monona. The setup and breakdown was seamless, and we didn’t have to do much to the room to make it look good. A big plus of the Monona Terrace is their in-house catering, and they are experts in this field. From the hors d’œuvres to the drinks to the main course, everything was very delicious. They also packed up any main courses that weren’t eaten by the guests, which I appreciated as we hate food waste. Overall; we had a great experience with this iconic Madison venue and will cherish the memories of our wedding day here. (Photos by CJefko Photography; highly recommend her as well)

My A Cappella group through UW-Madison held our Winter concert at the Monona Terrace lecture hall, and we could not possibly speak more highly of this venue. We had an incredible experience working with the team. The sound and lighting professionals were so kind and helpful, and we could not have asked for better people to work with. Amanda, the sales manager that assisted us throughout the entire booking and concert experience, was an absolute joy to work with. The venue was affordable on a student-run organization budget, and we are ecstatic to hopefully return next year!

What an awesome location and resource. We were here for a convention, and felt very well taken care of the entire time. Parking is extremely simple and convenient. The food is delicious. The waiters and staff in general are polite and very helpful. The facilities were gorgeous and very well equipped. Everything from start to finish was great, and we can't wait to come back. *Update- back a second year and even more impressed not that I was able to observe the architecture and desire and appreciate it more. The most intentionally designed public space I've ever been to.

Frank Lloyd Wright designed it many years before it's been built. Great view to a beautiful Lake Monona! Two story conference rooms w/ escalators to lower big exhibition hall. It's a great place to host an event or conference in winters. It's connected to Hilton Hotel and Madison Club restaurant, close to Wisconsin State Government Capitol dome and Madison City Hall, as well as Court house. In the summer the roof top garden hosts weekly outdoor pop concert and popular dance concert serving beer cash bar. The beautiful pattern carpet can be cleaner tho.
