We had booked this hotel online because the website said it had a pool. My kids were excited to go swimming only to find out the pool was under construction. There was no update on the site stating the pool was unavailable. The front desk never said anything about it either. They never even offered a discount because one of their features for the $150 room with pool and free breakfast was unavailable. I was livid, and the kids were upset. The room at first was ok. After a long drive, the beds felt comfortable and could easily fall asleep, but after having dinner and finally settling down to rest, the kids and I found it hard to get comfortable and actually sleep. Plus, the room next to us had a dog that would not stop barking. I did a detailed look around the room and found dust/mold in the ac/heating unit. There was a lot of dust on the wood piece over the bed. The little things matter. The breakfast was ok, it was your typical hotel food. Stale cereal, watered down milk, biscuits and gravy, eggs, dried out sausage patties, and waffles that you had to use a plastic fork to get out, which clearly melted it. Even though the hotel is really close to almost everything that town had to offer, I highly recommend not going across the street to Buffalo Wild Wings. It was horrible, and they'll have their own review. We were disappointed overall in the one night stay. We will not...
Read moreI LOVED my stay here. I work at a hotel, and enjoy getting to be a guest every once in a while, and you guys knocked it out of the park! Check in was very quick, and Devon (I think was his name? Sorry I didn't get it!) made the whole process go smoothly, in fact, all the staff were all amazing and super nice, and the breakfast was very filling. The room was a pretty good size, even for a standard room. The bathroom was a bit bigger than most, which I especially liked. The TV was pretty big as well, which was a nice surprise. Bed was comfy and huge (king bed), as were the pillows. Lots of good stuff in the vending machines, I spent nearly $15 on snacks and drinks. Breakfast was greaaaaaaat! Lots of options, and all of them were good! I helped myself to some toast with peanut butter on it, yogurt, fruit, and some really good sausage patties (I wish my hotel had them!). The coffee was also pretty good, as was the hot chocolate. Also, big shout out to Nicole! She gave me a little bit of an extended checkout, which was very nice on top of the noon c/o time. Overall my girlfriend and I loved our stay, and we would definitely come again, especially since we didn't have swimsuits to...
Read moreThe hotel was ok. What I wasn’t happy about that I was locked out of my room before check out time - 2 room keys were mysteriously wiped clean and one had all info but NONE worked and even the hotel engineer tried them. Then I got hit with a pet fee that I wasn’t told about. I booked the room on my phone and all it said on the online booking site I used was the hotel was pet friendly. Nor was I ever told about it by the desk. There was no pet fee mentioned at registration or on the paper I signed, just that pets must be leashed. The morning desk clerk was argumentative and wouldn’t let me finish a sentence until I finally told her to let me finish. She then said I wasn’t letting HER finish the sentence she cut me off with! I never asked for a single dollar to be refunded, I was merely expressing my displeasure.
*NOTE: I went back to the website I booked through, scrolled down to the very bottom of the small print and found the pet fee. Sadly, that was s the ONLY place I found it. It was never mentioned in the hotel, on my registration slip, even by the clerk who checked me in and petted my dog. Pathetic.
I won’t be...
