Panera Bread — Restaurant in Marion

My co-workers and I order from Panera in Marion, Il often, 3-5 times a month. We always call in our order because they would only charge us one delivery fee since its all coming to the same office. The last time i called to order, I was told that each of us would be charged a $3 delivery charge. I explained to her that we always call to order and have never been charged a delivery fee for each order. She stated that she doesn't know who did that for us but they can't do it anymore. So we didn't order at all because we had 6 orders to make and that would be a ridiculous amount to pay to bring the orders to one place. Today, we ordered online and only made 1 order, the delivery charge this time was over $5. Three of the sandwiches we ordered was more bread than meat, you couldn't even taste the meat. Traveling home from vacation and needed a bite to eat that was healthy after indulging during our trip. We stopped in at Panera Bread in Marion, IL for the new Thai chicken soup and Citrus Asian crunch salad. Initially the salad was not to my liking because it had a lot of dressing for my taste. I asked for a remake and was greeted with warm hospitality and great service. They remade my salad with the dressing and teriyaki on the side. It was delicious and all the fresh flavors popped w/ less dressing to hide them. The soup was delicious! I’m a wimp when it comes to spice and this had a little heat, but so delicious ! THE best Panera Bread I've ever been to! The staff really treats like a guest in their home. I hadn't eaten in a couple days so I came in here and order the last spinach and artichoke souffle, which I was so excited for because it's probably my favorite thing on the menu. As I turned to get my drink, it slid right off of my plate! I was so hungry that I almost started crying my eyes out. I went up see if the other souffles up there were the kind I liked and that's when I found out that I had taken the last one. My eyes started welling up with tears and I started to walk away. They insisted on making me something else and got me a sandwich of my choice. It's been some tough times for me and this amazing staff really brought joy to my day. I've always enjoyed Panera, but today, they have earned a deeper admiration in my heart....
