I unfortunately stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Cranberry Twp. September 16th - 17th in a first floor room. First of all, there were no beverage glasses in the room. (Are you supposed to cup your hands to rinse your mouth when brushing your teeth?) No pen or small pad of paper. (I did grab the pen from the front desk and said, "Thank you.") The worse part was when I opened the curtains in the morning to discover that the window was broken and covered with plywood!!! I immediately dressed and packed to leave. I took everything to the front desk to check out. The poor women who worked there were so apologetic, not so much the "manager". He insisted that the window only had a "film" covering it! What? How stupid do you think I am??? I know broken glass and plywood when I see it! That man was so condescending. He insisted that I move into the room across the hall from my current room. I said, "No, I'm leaving!" He kept badgering me until I said very firmly and loudly, "I DO NOT WANT TO STAY HERE ANY LONGER!" I ignored him and had the lady check me out. While I was packing my car, one of the ladies came out with my shampoo that I forgotten in the shower. I told her that I was sorry and that it wasn't her fault. I left and stayed at the Clarion. What a difference! I have never stayed in such a crappy hotel in my life and I'm 71 years old! Stay away if you want a nice, SAFE place to stay.

This place is filthy. It clearly hasn't been cleaned in years. There were food pieces tucked in the cushions of the chair in my room, liquids splattered all over the walls in the elevator, crumbs all over the hallway, and years worth of disgusting buildup inside the vents for the heater/AC unit in the room. Let's hope my Covid booster provides protection for whatever horrible pathogens are growing inside that thing. - This place is awful. Don't stay here unless you're really strapped for money. Update: I went to take a shower and the pin you have to pull up to turn on the shower was missing, so there was no way to activate the shower. I went to call the front desk and guess what? The phone is broke. I went down to the front desk. They offered me another room. I went and checked that one and that shower didn't work either. I went back to the front desk and they offered me a third room on another floor. It was a major pain to move all my stuff to another floor at 9:00 pm. Also, the third room smells weird. - I amend my prior statement; don't stay here EVEN IF you're strapped for cash.

i can’t believe this hotel has 7.6 rating.. on booking.com total run down hotel. Very dirty. i stayed here only for the night as we had to drive to DC next morning. checked in at 2 and checked out at 8. even 6 hrs sleep in this hotel was not comfortable. 1. there were no real pillows it was the sofa cushions. 2. the bed spread was dirty with lot of stains 3. the telephone was not working 4. the shower was not working and the knob was broken 5. the water knob for the wash basin was so dirty that i felt punish while brushing my teeth 6. the lift was making sound 7. coffee was bad 8. thin walls between the rooms - next room very noisy 9. the AC heat had a foul smell frankly, the only pros was the check in process - it was smooth and the lady at the reception was friendly. We got our room changed because of the shower. but apart from this i would not give this hotel even 1 rating.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Poor Service, Cleanliness, and Management Response

From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating and far below acceptable standards.

We were initially given a room on the 2nd floor, we went and opened and it was already occupied — a serious oversight that raises concerns about security and guest privacy. The front desk appeared unaware of this error. Upon informing them, we were offered another room which had a strong, unpleasant odor of cigarette smoke, despite it being a non-smoking room.

In yet another room, the TV wasn’t even working. As if that weren’t enough, your so-called “breakfast” consisted only of granola bars and apples — a far cry from what most travelers would reasonably expect, especially when breakfast is advertised as part of the stay.

While the receptionist was kind and apologetic, the manager’s response was shockingly indifferent. Instead of listening to our concerns and offering a solution, he dismissed them and asked us to check out if we weren’t satisfied.

To add to the poor service, when we mentioned that the actual condition of the hotel does not match the photos shown on the website, the manager said it might be an 8-year-old photos that we are looking at— a highly unprofessional and defensive response.

Hospitality, service, and management courtesy are the cornerstones of a good hotel experience — all of which were sorely lacking during our stay. I hope you take this feedback seriously and work toward improving both your facilities and your approach to...

Very disappointed with our stay recently and made us wonder what did we do to deserve this! It all started with key cards given to us not working and we had to run down every single time to be let in with an Admin key. I'm pretty sure in the end they gave us the Admin key. This jinxed room threw another blinder next morning when the toilet flush didn't work and we were offered no solution but to use the common toilet. All this while we were trying to checkout early for an impending 6 hour drive with a toddler. Problem 3 and the biggest one - complete joke of customer service. The so called manager didn't have the courtesy to apologize for any of the inconveniences and has the audacity to say, "It happens!" and "You're having problems since check-in" while being totally unempathetic considering we were a family with a toddler. In the end, I had to give up on the conversation considering it's futile to bang your head against a wall. Maybe it's my misfortune or bad luck, but nobody deserves this experience.

Oh yeah, the breakfast is a joke. You can check other reviews for this.

PS: I am so tempted to post the pics of the broken toilet flush but considering the basic sanctity of social media, I'm not resorting to.

PPS: If the Super 8 or Wyndham customer service team wants to get in touch, please feel free. I can give you the entire story which destroyed my whole trip experience and drowned our spirits. We just wanted to get out of Pittsburgh canceling all our plans (and potential $s getting added to the US...
