Bob Evans — Restaurant in Marshall Township

May i start off by saying the the female host was amazing she is the reason i am going 3 stars!

I called in at 12:20 and was told the wait time was 10 - 15 minutes. I asked to be put on the call ahead list and said we had a party of 9 and would be there in about 20 minutes. The lady on the phone was super polite and thanked me for calling and hung up. We arrived 15 minutes later and i checked in with the host, Tory. He was standing with his head in his hand, didnt look at me when i talked and the only response I got was a sigh and "ok." At 1:00 we were still standing there no one talked to us, updated us or anything. So again Troy was standing there and i went up and asked if he knew how much longer it would be for the party to get seats and again without looking at me, continued to write whatever he was writing, sighed and said no. He then walked away and went back to the kitchen. The young lady came up (not knowing anything had happened) and asked my dad what party we were with. We told her and ask said there was nothing avaliable unless we wanted to sit at 2 tabled next to each other. We said that was fine and were seated immediately! (I did not catch her name but she needs a raise!! I know it started with a G) After we were seated our server came over and took the drink orders. It took another 10 minutes to get the drinks. She was super busy so i just figured it was a busy time. However, Another group of 8 came in and got seated about the same time she took our drink orders. They got their drinks before us and had their orders placed before we got drinks. We got our food around 2:10. The other group was leaving as we got our food. I dont know if maybe our server was having a rough day or what!! We was super nice and very polite the entire time she was serving but everything was done as slow as molasses! We didn't leave til after 2:30. Not impressed. Managers walled passed many times and not one...

On Monday, 10/7/24 we came into the restaurant at about 1:50pm - there was no one at the host stand so we waited - after a few minutes of waiting an older lady walked past us from the kitchen area, looked right at us, and kept walking over to a table that had 2 customers - in the mean time 2 couples came in behind us - now there are 10 people standing there waiting - she went back into the kitchen and came out with a dish rag and started wiping off tables, still not acknowledging us - at that point I caught her attention "excuse me ma'am, is there someone that can seat us?" - she turned around and looked straight at me and yelled "I'M THE ONLY ONE HERE!!!!!" - well, after some choice words back to her everyone standing there at the host stand turned around and left - I own a customer service business and if I had an employee do that they would be fired on the spot - trust me, this place can't afford this - at 2pm there were only 4 customers in the restaurant - this was one of the WORST experiences I've ever had and shows how badly Bob Evans Restaurants have declined since Covid - we used to love Bob Evans because it was better than Cracker Barrel - now, not so much - this employee...

We went here for dinner and dined in. Have been ordering take out but decided to eat in. Our waitress was nice and attentive. She was the only one working the dining room. We had a pretty simple order of Hot tea, Mt . Dew, Broiled fish with broccoli and carrots and Fried Pork cutlet with mashed potatoes and Cole slaw. The drinks of course came quickly. The cole slaw was slower coming from the kitchen. The kitchen was staffed by one person who I could see through the openings into it. She kept getting calls on her cellphone and talking! After we received the cole slaw, we were told it would be a little longer due to the fish being frozen. I saw the fish up in the service window about 15 minutes (and 2 phone calls) later. As our waitress went to get my fish dish, the kitchen cook ran to the freezer and grabbed the pork cutlet to throw it into the fryer!!! She obviously forgot about it! Probably because she had to keep getting on her cellphone!! Our waitress dropped off my fish and said the pork cutlet would be a few more minutes! This is totally uncalled for! The kitchen cook, whoever she was, needs to put her cellphone in a locker and focus on her job and...
