I made the reservation by phone but viewed it online. When you see the exterior picture, it doesn't show that the building is surrounded by the parking lot. No veiw unless you want to see cares or the dumpsters of the building next door. There were a lot of truckers, so I got concerned . I asked the customer service rep if I could see the room before I paid. She said I had to pay first, and if I didn't like it, she could return my money. It would take 7 to 10 days. She had low energy and was not welcoming, just sort of matter of fact. I went to look at another place that had great custermer service. Let me see a few rooms, smelled very clean and fresh, and were very neat. ( comfort inn ) down the street. The only thing the beds look curvy. Anyway, the clarion is clean ( halls, dining, rooms), and pretty modern. The room I stayed in had a lingering odor like when you just need to open windows. Solved by air conditioning or heat, or just getting used to. I had a nice room, a decent size living room couch, chair, coffee table, TV, lamp. Has a window.then Then, a small fridge , sink, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, even had a double electric stove to use. There is a hallway leading to the bathroom and 2 separate rooms, one with a full bed, the other with king, both have closets, dressers, night stands, tv, double lamps. The beds were clean and comfy with white linen and white down comforters, and pillows were soft and comfy, but I woke up with swollen eyes, maybe the soap powder. The bathroom was decent, and needed safety rails by tub. All clean, but I wiped down with disinfected wipes. There was only a small stain on the carpet and on the couch. I let them know because I didn't want my dog blamed. I wasn't even there for an hour when I was told we had no water. A sewer issue somewhere. All night, no water. Couldn't take a bath after traveling, had to buy water to drink, poop and pee in toilet all night . I was miserable. It was our get a way for our first anniversary. Breakfast was free and pretty good. Waffles, cold and hot cereal, eggs, sausage, apple and orange juice, yogurt, cin bread, muffins, milk. The milk was not exp per the label, but it was spoiled it clumps I opened and drank disgusting first, I thought it was frozen, and then I smelled it. I took it right to the desk and let them know the girl at the desk just shrugged her shoulders and said, "Just throw it away its probably a manufacturer problem, sorry and walked away. Rude unconcerned. I ran into some nice people. Sorry, I stereotyped truckers. Oh, I don't like the old ceiling lights. You turn them on, and they come on in all the front , you can't just put in the kitchen or living room . Overall, it was nice. I took away a star for no water and spoiled milk with POOR customer service . When I asked if I would be discounted for no water, she said she had to talk to her manager . One of the guests showed me a $25 discount. I expect better than that. The TV' are very small 32 in , one in both rooms and living room. None are smart, and there are no movie channels or pay per veiw. Boring. I paid $215 plus 25 for the dog. Good price for that room. Lots of places to eat, strip mall, and a fun place for little kids to ride bumper cars and amusement park rides right down the street.

Booked a room at the Clarion based upon the positive reviews here on Google. I was very disappointed. We were given a room at the back of the hotel that had peeling paint on the ceiling in the bathroom and in the room itself. In addition the room was not up to cleanliness standards. There was even a bottle cap that was left by the previous occupants on the floor. Due to the age of the hotel, I also considered that the peeling paint might contain asbestos. Went to the front desk and asked for another room. At this point I was given another room right next to the one I already had. I inspected this room which had the same peeling paint issues. I returned to the front desk and said that this was unacceptable. I was told the manager could not issue a refund as it was late at night. I booked another room at a different hotel and left at Clarion. The next day I had to call the booking company I used online in order for them to issue a refund to me. This took some time but they ultimately did refund my purchase. The positive reviews on Google do not accurately represent this hotel. Previously. It has been a good gauge about the quality of the rooms in a certain location as I've used it many times in the past. I'm not sure about the positive reviews but I did not have a positive experience. I would find other options here at this location and don't consider the Clarion. This is not a mid-tier hotel like other choice hotels. It's the bottom of the basement option.

Stayed for one night and check in was very quick. Each employee I encountered greeted me and was very polite. When I entered my room the smell of a clean room is what hit me first. The building is older but clean. The bed is on the firm side, and had several pillows. The wifi was fast and easy to connect to. The TV had enough channels and they changed quickly when scrolling. The bathroom is smaller but very clean. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Overall I slept really great. Breakfast is in a small room off of the lobby. It has your basics, and gets the job done. Scrambled eggs and sausage are the hot items. Along with cereals and pastries. 24 hour coffee is complementary. It was a very nice stay overall and a good value for the price.

The good reviews I feel are either misrepresented or they got lucky! My Husband booked this room and this is by far the dirtiest room we have ever been in. Dust build up is awful. No vacuuming was attempted. Hair covered tub, toilet, sink. Old soap that dissolved was on counter in plain sight. Feces, urine was on toilet from previous guests. Above our head in bathroom the dust in fan cover is so thick it is all fuzzy. The a/c filters were so full of lint I thought the sink would clog from washing em. What made me look at filters was the thick gray dust on front of a/c unit!!! We requsted a different room but they were sold out. So we left the desk with a cleaning chemical and a rags we were given to clean our room. Noone from housekeeping was here. She would not go look at room while we waited at the desk. I showed the desk lady 10 pictures and we got the attitude of "like she couldnt be bothered". Traveled almost 4 hours to this nightmare! We cleaned our own room ! I am on 3 meds including a inhaler for allergies of dust. Stop!! Skipping basic housekeeping stuff! You are playing with peoples health and lives. Disgusting that people work hard and trust you to use hard earned money and you are putting people in jeopardy with allergies, or copd or asthma. Desk lady wasnt at desk but in a back room behind a door most of the time. The hall and room has a smell that resembles a bug spray. Only good thing was the hard work from the breakfast guy. Thats why I gave it 2stars for service. What a waste of hard earned $$. Cleaned our own room. Ought to be ashamed people trust you to have cleaning standards! You are going to hurt someones health not cleaning!! *Please have the tub drain be removed to clean hair build up out. Standing in dirty shower water above our ankles is not ideal for guests. If tub was properly cleaned with running water your housekeeper would of clearly noticed it took over 30 min to drain.

*wish I could figure out how to post pictures! You'd...

Let me start out by saying that someone had a blowout in the hinges of the toilet seat and housekeeping didn’t clean it before we got our room.

It was definitely a bit hard to find the building itself because it is set behind other businesses.

Every door leading into to each room slams, so you get woken up a lot if you are a light sleeper. I tried slowly shutting it to prevent it from slamming, but it still slammed. So there was nothing you could do about it.

The ceilings were cracked and peeling in the bathroom because they don’t have properly working ventilation.

Breakfast was make-your-own-waffles, sausage, those fake eggs (still good as far as fake eggs go though), bagels, milk, oatmeal and cereal.

We had the hardest time getting our keys to work on the outside door and our room door.

Staff was very friendly, met a housekeeper and the front desk clerk.

Bedding and towels were clean and in good condition. The bed itself was comfy initially, but both of us need a firm mattress for our backs so we were hurting by the end of our stay due to how soft it was.

If you forget anything like a toothbrush etc they have some on site that they can provide.

The rooms do not have a closet, only a wardrobe. The iron was awkwardly set out instead of being tucked away like at most hotels.

The TVs are not smart TVs, so if you want to use Netflix etc you have to bring your own hardware to hook up to the TV.

In the end I am giving it 2 stars because of the poop on the toilet and being able to hear the other tenants slamming doors all...
