McKinney Inn — Hotel in McKinney

I would of given mckinney inn 5 stars but there were a few things that make it only 3 stars instead of 5 and i can explain what i mean. Well i enjoy my time here. My family and i would normal not stay in a motel or hotel honestly but we were having issues at home with our water so we pay for a room for the night to shower and stuff. So therefore we come here often and at first i didnt see anything wrong with the place and stuff until, I witness some poor customer servie. I wanted to be honest bout having my puppy so i walked up to the front to pay the fee for my puppy and the lady i spoke too honestly gave me some real mean looks like she was judging me then after i paid the fee i went back to my family and realized we lost the room key so my mom and i went back to the front to get a new one and man oh man it was the same lady and well my mom had a stroke a few years ago so its hard for her to speak so i have to help her well with that being said The same lady gave my mom so much mean attitude and rude looks like she was judging us like come on its not like you or anyone is better than anyoner.. No One Is Better Than Anyone! that i didnt like and she just was straight up rude! Honestly come on Mckinney inn i know you can do better than this!!! Also im here right now as im typing this ill be here til 11 but im not happy again because for one i dont know the wifi password but i wish i did have it i need it and also something worse than that i found gum stuck to the table like come on do you guys not clean very good? I have never experienced bed bugs in my whole 61 years of life until I stayed here. I received about 40 bites in a three day period. When I complained to management, he said that NO ONE has ever complained about bed bugs and that if I had bed bugs, I must have brought them in with me. When I asked him for some spray, they lent me a large bottle of spray that was almost empty. This must be for the bed bugs that "aren't there." I have stayed there three times this year and bed bugs have gotten me every time If you must stay here, I suggest you go down to Winco (grocery store on University) and get some bed bug spray for $8, strip all the linens, blankets and pillows off the bed and spray the bed, box spring, floor boards and carpet with spray. Don't get it on your skin as it is poisonous. Take the bed clothes and pillows down to the local laundromat and put them in HOT drier for 20 min to kill off any lingering bugs. By the time you get back, the spray should have dried and you can put the bed back together. Management has access to a heating unit that they use to kill bugs by bringing up the temps in the room to 180 degrees for most of the day. Don't leave anything in your room that could melt. As a bonus, the shower curtain in my room was full of mildew at the bottom, the microwave does not work, the toilet runs on because the stopper in tank does not seal and you may have to take a cold shower if others in the building use up all the hot water. The comforter and sheets have cigarette burns and stains on them. The towels are threadbare and have stains on...

Stayed there many times. Not the best motel...but...it WAS doable....until this week. Paid in advance for four days. Was not feeling well when I arrived. Stayed in the room two days before leaving it. That morning noticed a bedbug bite on thumb and index finger on left hand. I figured that due to my trying to sweat out an oncoming cold ...having...the heat turned up....brought out the bugs in the comforter. As I never sleep under the covers here...I rolled up the comforter and placed it by the door. The third night...was manic! They attacked me all over. I removed the pillows..placed them inside the comforter and sat them outside the room. I then slept in the chairs. I left that morning for an appointment in Garland. Upon my return, I showed the bites to the female employee on duty. She freaked harder than I. I was going to sleep in the chairs as I had the night before because that's just me. Easy going. Not wanting to make waves. She however secured a one night refund for me and told me that the owner blamed me and would not give me another room! I left. Called back and spoke with owner and was venomously attacked. Was told that I brought them in there and was not welcome back. This, however, was a lie. I suggest that if you wish to be treated fairly...and not eaten in your sleep...go elsewhere! Sometimes you get what you pay for! Dirt cheap...you get up dirty!! This was MY experience there. If you still decide to stay there...hope you have a better...
