Borrowed Time Fine Art Gallery Tattoo Shop — Local services in McKinney

I made an appointment here because I had seen Tombraider a few years ago and she did a great job doing some water color over a blow out I had. I had taken the afternoon off from work so me and my friend could get tattoos for my birthday. We made an appointment on Borrowed Time’s website for 2:30 to see Tombraider and Mario. We each paid the $100 l deposit. We showed up at 2:30 and the doors were locked. We called and texted numerous times. We gave up and left around 3:15. We finally heard from someone around 3:50. Dexter apologized and said there was an issue with the online booking and offered other dates. Although I appreciate Dexter’s accommodations, and the fact that he did reimburse me the deposit, we won’t be going back. I do think it was highly unprofessional that they accepted an appointment AND deposit , as well as sending a confirmation the day of, however no one was at the shop to provide the services. The fact that I booked this over a month out, and used PTO so I could have this appointment, and no one one was at the shop, shows incredible disrespect for other...

This place is phenomenal. I am pretty picky when it comes to finding tattoo shops because I know that a lot of people are scammers around here, and it's happened to me before. Let me start off by saying the people that work here are amazing, friendly, and it almost feels like a second home when you walk in. Tomb raider was my tattooist for my piece, and it was a dedication to my mom. She made sure that it looked the way I had wanted it to and even changed something to make all the wording fit on the banner. I commend them for being so attentive to detail, and at a very affordable price. You really cannot beat that anywhere else. Again I'm really picky, so all the places in McKinney that I looked through did not meet my standards. If you are looking for very small intricate details I would suggest tomb raiders work because she is very good at attention to detail. The rest of the crew here are also very talented in their work and based on all the reviews I see here I can also completely recommend and agree to come here before anywhere else. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars back...

I have, I think, 16 tattoos....most were done by a couple of other guys from where I lived in the past (and a couple done by a local shop). I searched for several weeks to see if I could find the right tattoo professional to tackle an idea that I had....most of the shops that I talked to, I got the feeling I would never let them touch me. I am so glad I found Dexter at Borrowed Time! He took my idea and I allowed him to take over and use his creative passion, and I ended up with the absolute best tattoo that I have on my skin! I will not get inked by anyone else except for Dexter from now on! I have sent a good friend of mine to get work done by him and is extremely pleased! My oldest Son will be getting work done within the next week. The shop atmosphere and other employees are awesome! My advice is don’t get inked...
