I placed an online mobile order thru the Sonic app for a cheeseburger no ketsup tomato or lettuce and order of onion rings. Waited quite awhile after notifying them I was there and stall # for carhop to bring food out. After driving off I realized there were no onion rings in the bag, so I went back thru drive thru. I explained 4 times that I had just been there but did not get all of my order, didn't get what I ordered however the employee just kept saying "ok, you want to place an order, go ahead". Finally she told me to pull up came outside. I showed my receipt showing I paid for onion rings but didn't get them, she tells me they are out of onion rings. Well why didn't someone say something?? Do many people pay for something they don't get and say oh ok no problem, keep my money?? So I asked what the solution would be, she replied"I don't know, we're out of onion rings." I then asked if I could get something in place of the onion rings and what item would be comparable in price, again she replied "I don't know, we're out of onion rings." Trying to be fair I asked again what could I order that was the same price or around the same price as the onion rings I had paid for, and again she says "I don't know." Totally fed up at this point I asked her if she worked at Sonic, she said yes but never paid attention to prices. I asked to speak with someone else, I wish I knew his name because he was great and took care of the problem in under a minute. I get home, unwrap my burger...it has ketsup and tomato on...

This sonic’s customer service constantly under preforms. On two separate occasions I have placed a mobile order in the 9 o’clock hour, they close at 11. The first time I waited for almost 20 minutes before an employee came out to tell me they were closed despite it being 9:30 and the parking lot was full, they just didn’t want to deal with another customer. The second time I waited for 15 minutes before an employee came out to tell me the ice cream machine was broken. My problem isn’t that either of the situations occurred, it’s the way the were handled. Why would you make someone wait just to tell them you don’t have the ability to fulfill the order. That ice cream machine didn’t break in the 15 minutes I was sitting there, and you can’t just say we’re closed because we’re too busy. And as a manager you should never send an employee out to handle that be a manager and handle those hard situations yourself. The icing on the cake is that with sonic when you place a mobile order, if the restaurant can’t fulfill it they can’t refund your order, they push the ticket through and you yourself have to request a refund. As a fellow service industry member I always try to be very patient and forgiving, but the employees at this Sonic off of 380 (Store #2441) were beyond rude. I had to repeat my order 4 times, I was given attitude each time and told it was my fault and I needed to speak up. When they finally brought the food out, they shoved it at me, including a route 44 cherry limeade which spilled all over myself and inside of my car because she dropped it before I had a chance to properly grab it. Instead of apologizing or asking if I needed a towel, all she asked is if I needed another drink. It took several minutes for a shift manager to come out and provide a single damp towel after I asked for a manager. The store manager, Amanda Morris, was apparently not there. Now I've got to figure out how to clean the sticky mess out of the carpet and driver seat of my car. I will be making a call to corporate in the morning as it is late in the evening now, and I fully expect Sonic to pay to have the interior of my car cleaned.
