I planned on staying here 2 weeks ago for a day for a wedding. My experience with this Red Roof Inn has by far, been the worst I’ve had with any hotel ever. I checked in early on the 17th (paid a $25 fee for that). And my first room had several crickets, and the AC didn’t work. I didn’t really care about the crickets at first, and just scooped’em up an put them out the door. Called front desk, they sent someone to look at the AC. Found out they couldn’t fix it that day and gave me a different room.
The second room had A LOT more crickets, I cleaned up and threw out at least 15-20 of them. There were also pieces of dead cricket body parts around leading me to think this room wasn’t cleaned well. Both rooms had big gaps under the doors letting them in, weather stripping is a cheap fix. Just add it to keep them out more. I didn’t like the idea of crickets all over me while I slept that night so I called and asked for a refund so I could stay somewhere else. They declined because I booked through Expedia, and they sent someone to “clean” it. It was just a man with a broom, and he wasn’t there long because I basically swept everything out before he got there, and he had an attitude and was rude. I just left at that point and stayed somewhere else and called RRI customer service and put in a complaint with the pictures (see attached).
Two days later I got an “apology” email saying they can’t refund me because of Expedia, but they can refund my early check-in and offered a 20% discount. I called Expedia and they confirmed I RESERVED through them and paid the hotel directly so I should be able to get a refund, this hotel is just being stubborn. I then replied to the “apology” email asking the GM to do the right thing and just get me a refund letting them know I called Expedia. It’s been a week now and no response or refund, even for the $25 early check-in stay they said that they would refund in the "apology".
I’ve stayed at plenty of other 2-star hotels (including other Red Roof Inns) that were at the very least clean and not jerks. I choose these hotels because they’re more affordable and I don’t have really any extra money to throw around. But because of this I had to spend extra money to stay elsewhere that was at least clean and wasted money on this hotel I didn’t even end up staying at. Considering this and now all the other awful reviews I’m now seeing for this place, (I wish I read them beforehand, but I was in a hurry when booking) don’t stay here. It’s gross and they don’t care about your...
Read moreI reserved this room online it said pay at property. The cost was 71.19. When I arrived at 2:15 am I was told the cost was 121.19. It did not say that on the app or anywhere. I did not have an extra $50.00 for a deposit that after a room inspection would take up to 5 business days to go back on my card.. I did not have it. I was upset but the desk clerk told me he would cancel my room. I said thank you and had to go sleep in my truck. The next day the 71.19 was pending on my card I called and the gentleman told me I didn't show up. I told him I did show up. The amount I was being charged was 121.19 and I didn't have it. He lives in the United States, he owns a business in the United States yet I could not understand him and he didn't try to understand me. I finally hung up. I called back later on and a lady answered. She asked me to hold and hung up on me. I called back and she would pick up the phone then hang up. I called Red Roof corporate office and she called them then came back on the phone and said I would have to contact booking.com to get my money back. I called them and she said she would take care of it. I then received an email stating they would not return my money . I want to know when it became legal to steal money. Do I have to be from a different country to steal? I have never had a hotel charge me for a room that I couldn't get because they wanted more money.i didn't know they wanted 121.19 until after I arrived. It said pay at property. I never gave him my card so it wasn't paid at property. I'm not sure about what I can do bit stealing is against the law. This hotel puts one charge on the web site. Tries to get more when you show up and if you can't afford it they take it...
Read moreThis was probably my worst experience I've ever had. These people with the exception of the Spanish speaking employees ( Michelle and the gentleman that has glasses) (who was the kindest and in my opinion the only ones that should be employed there ) for they are the only ones that have any customer service skills everyone else there is very rude extremely disrespectful and I went to pay a second day and the little Indian guy wanted 20 more dollars then what I paid yesterday and he immediately told me if I wasn't going to pay get out or he'll call the police !!!!! Mind you I never caused any problems in that motel I never had any company and he lied in order for me to not receive my deposit back however if it wasn't for the Spanish man that came in my room and seen I personally cleaned it myself before I left even after I was being kicked out I would have not got my deposit back from the wonderful lady named Michelle was put in a position that she should not have been because of the lying and the disrespectful rude inconsiderate I can go on and on about the other employees I will never ever visit that establishment again and I will tell everybody I know about it I understand many people complain about the rudeness and how the Indian men treat any women that walk up in there and nothing ever gets changed they're still employed without any remorse without any indication that they're sorry they still remain rude and disrespectful. The owner Jimmy Patel obviously is doing nothing about these reviews which indicates poor business ownership if the owner don't care why would the employees all I can say is is...
