Went here after I got a flyer in the mail and Texas Roadhouse had a hour wait to get a table. We came here and the hostess told us it would be a 30 minute wait. That turned into 50 mins. This seems to be a national restaurant chain that I have never heard of or been to. The menu is terribly put together, its vague and difficult to decipher exactly what you are ordering when getting some kind of combo meal.
Our server was new-ish and still learning the menu herself. I ordered what I thought was a half order (the full order was going to be too much food) and she put it in. This was a night out with just me and my two daughters. our appetizer came in a timely fashion and was delicious (hushpuppies.) Their orders came out, and I waited a little longer for mine. Their orders came out in what looked like fast food baskets. of about 5 minutes, my order came to the table. A half-pound of scallops in a cheap tiny Styrofoam bowl, and nothing else.
I was perturbed to say the least. I thought maybe the other stuff in the combo (potatoes and corn on the cob) was still cooking or coming behind it. Nothing. They were just gonna give me only scallops and charge the full combo price. When our server came back, I asked her where the rest of the food was, she said she would check the kitchen. within a minute or two a man from the back came out and told me that the mistake was mine and not on the server. I informed him I was not familiar with the chain or the menu and that it was difficult to understand, he then continued to berate me and talk to me like I was some kind of idiot. His name tag was too small for me read, but it didn't look like he was management, just another server or kitchen worker. He repeated over and over that the menu was fine and raised his voice each time.
A lady came over to see what the problem was and i told her that neither I or the server understood the menu and that I wanted the rest of my food and the man was being rude and belittling me. She apologized and got the rest of my food (to-go as by then we were finished eating and I had lost the rest of my appetite.) Michelle, the sweetest server on earth! She apologized profusely and offered us a free dessert. She owned her part of the misunderstanding and I told her that I owned mine. I left her a generous tip for handling her side of the service so well despite the super busy night and not fully knowing the menu.
In short, even though I really liked the server, and the food was good, the amount didn't match the prices. I will likely never return. Its way too expensive for what you get. Plasticware, paper cups(think fast food,) and styrofoam plates and bowls don't cut it when you are paying more than you would at Red Lobster!! They may have some kind of theme that utilizes such for an atmosphere, but If I am gonna pay close to $40 for one combo plate? It better come on a real plate, and be more food than...
Read moreLoved the Red Hook in Bartlett and this location is closer to our house so we decided to try them out. The food was delicious, seasoned well and cooked to order, but that's where our good experience ended. We had Ali as our server and she came by our table a total of four times! After the initial sit down and ordering our drinks, she only came by our table to bring out our orders. My husband would have got another beer and I wanted to change my drink order, but we often could not find Ali within the restaurant. She would reappear from the kitchen and then disappear again. I would not order the Cajun Navel. I'm not sure if Ali made it or another employee but it was almost all peach schnapps and no juice. The drink menu also leaves much to be desired as it does not have any specifically rum drinks. This is not the place to go if you enjoy a good rum cocktail, I would suggest traveling down a little further to Bahama Breeze. While we're on the subject of alcohol, the bar also had no beers on tap... Ali advised that there was a problem with their taps and they could not serve draft beer. If you did want to enjoy draft beer, Hooters in the parking lot next door. Who I assume was the manager was seated at the front of the business in a chair. The only reason I mention him here is because my husband and I were seated facing the front door and we observed Ali helping a young lady with her to go order. When the young lady left the restaurant, the manager very obviously leaned around the corner and stared at this young woman as she left... That sort of behavior is uncalled for in a professional setting. The other wait staff seemed very friendly and their tables seemed well taken care of but for awhile my table was the only one in Ali's section and the service was subpar at best. So in summary, order take out and don't dine in or go to the one in Bartlett because...
Read moreI took a group with me. I called this institution 4 times to try to establish a reservation. Twice they said I could, last two people I talk to said I couldn't. I was totally embarrassed on what transpired upon my arrival for seating. That had us sitting at arms and legs from our party. Wouldnt allow us to sit in the back where they had already laid paper and wasn't mark no sitting. There was absolutely no reason why we couldn't sit at that location. I came from work to enjoy a nice stressless time with my friends. Since we were spread apart in three tables not close to each other, socializing was restricted. One waitress told me we couldn't even stand beside the table to talk. Three of my party arrive later, not knowing what had transpired, sat at one table and a staff member loudly told them, they won't serve them while sitting there. My friends were shock and hadnt been there long enough for me to communicate. One of the girls said her drink tasted like olive juice, another stated food was bland, 2 daiquiri drinks were awful(separate people). A person who didn't identify himself until asked later came to our table and talked about a commerical, Covid etc. I told him we were all educated people, we understand about Covid and precautions. Two of my friends said they felt degraded by his continued spill. In fact another girl from across from us heard him talked and asked if he was trying to sell us something. I had a huge headache before I left and was throughly unsatisfied with how we were treated. The place only had one other table with people at this time and in this area. You would think when someone brings a group with them you would have received more respect and allow the group to sit in a feasible area. My group spent alot of money at this place, but it will be the last time. Sadly, we...
