I booked my families stay at this hotel because our the star rating on Trip Advisor and recent reviews. We visited from New Orleans for my cousins wedding. We were most disappointed when we arrived to our rooms where there was peeling paint in the bathrooms, the smell of cigarette smoke, and outdated/damaged furniture. However those were the least of my concerns. As we were settling in, we discovered feces smeared on the side of the toilet and a long black hair peeking out of one of the dry towels. I immediately called the front desk and was informed that there was no one available to clean it. I then walked the pictures of the toilet and towel down to the front desk to show the receptionist. They snapped a picture of my phone with their phone and text the manager and told reiterated that there's no one to clean it at the time, with no further immediate recourse (i.e. another clean room). The next morning, after the breakfast that was subpar, I went down to the front desk 4 times looking to speak to the manager that I was informed should have been there by 10 AM, about some type of recourse for having to clean someone else's poop off the side of the toilet and disinfect with my own cleaning materials. This later resulted in an email, since I couldn't get a hold of him. My family consisted of a handicapped adult, two small children, and 2 diabetics. I was not about to wait until housekeeping arrived the next morning to be able to use the unclean/half cleaned restroom. I was approached by a housekeeper asking if we wanted service, especially since she heard about our complaint and claimed it was another housekeeper. I refused service because I had already got down on my hands and knees to clean the poop from the toilet and properly cleaned the restroom, also we were currently occupying the room. A few hours later the manager arrived at our room to speak about a solution. He decided that 20% off our stay would suffice for the inconvenience. It should have been 100% off but I entertained his offer. An hour later I received an email reply, attempting to gaslight me, stating that I refused room service and the manager reduced the agreed upon discount amount. I then asked him to honor the agreed upon amount and received no reply. I went to check out and the amount of the discount was still reduced, so I asked the receptionist to get the manager on the phone. I spoke to him about the proper amount expected to be credited and was told it would be fixed, followed by we're not going to fuss about a few extra dollars. I was not happy about any of the interaction and I do not go anywhere expecting to receive anything for free. I do believe that if guests pay their money to stay at your hotel, inconveniences need to be remedied expeditiously and with decorum. I would have simply accepted being moved to another available room.

DO NOT GOT HERE . THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND FORCE YOU TO BOOK ALL OVER AGAIN. By far the worse experience I’ve ever had when dealing with a hotel. Prior to this I’ve been a loyal La Quinta guest but I can promise you I’ll never be back to one again. I pre booked a 4 night stay (had confirmation email, numbers, receipt, etc.). And coincidentally on the 3rd night, this hotel made a MODIFICATION TO MY STAY ON MY BEHALF. Where has that ever happened or been acceptable? And to make matters worse, it wasn’t in my benefit. They had took it amongst themselves to cancel my last nights stay, & was now forcing me to either pay for an additional night (which I had already paid for in advance) or immediately leave the hotel. They offered me zero remedies for my situation & only hardship. After hours of discussing how we could reconcile the situation, they assured me I would be refunded for the night THEY decided to modify on my behalf. The female clerk even gave me a confirmation paper (photo is attached), as well as I saw the pending deposit in my account. So reluctantly, I booked an additional night. It wasn’t until checking out that next day & arriving home I noticed they REVERSED THE REFUND DEPOSIT THEY MADE. This place has zero ethics, morals, & customer care. The amount of times I saw police cars there to mediate this exact situation for other individuals as well is also telling. There committing fraud. I’d suggest staying as far away from this place as possible. Sickening that a place like this can even be in business. The world has a funny way though of giving people what they deserve. Hope I help another family out there!

This is a very nice La Quinta! Nice areas for pets. Tons of dining within walking distance--Texas Roadhouse, O'Charley's, Hooters and nearby mall with other choices. Texas Roadhouse right across the parking lot is excellent! Plus they have a 15% off for La Quinta guests, discount. Full bar and lots of seating. The hotel rooms are large, clean and the tv was over 40". Only drawback was limited parking for trailers or U Haul trucks. Yet the owner/manager accommodated us with little to 0 sacrifice or additional fees! They were 100% authentic and customer service makes this hotel the only 5 star I have EVER given a review. You will live the rooms, atmosphere and convenience just outside the main city of Memphis. The blue car in the picture was the morning desk ckerk's which the Owner/Manager instructed to be parked there, so as not to block us in...............this is the kind of attention and courtesy this Hotel offers which is so rate today!

While I was looking forward to a pleasant visit, unfortunately, several issues detracted from my overall experience. And it has been absolutely horrible.

Firstly, I encountered difficulties with the AC unit not working it is not cooling down our room. And it’s hot in here which makes it extremely uncomfortable! At first, I just thought because the AC unit was off. Then come to find out we let it cool for several hours in which it did not do. And it’s 10:30 at night and it still has not cooled down this room. Secondly, I requested during my pre-check 24 hours in advance for my room to be upgraded to a bigger room. Via the email that was sent to me to pre-check Fully aware of the extra charge Which would have been fine . Come to find out when I came in to check in to get the keys that had not happened and they said that it was not pushed through on you guys’s end. I showed her the confirmation email and the request that I had submitted and I asked if I could do it at the counter since it wasn’t my fault and she told me no. Thirdly the room is absolutely filthy. There is black mold in the bathrooms. There’s stuff on the walls. There’s stuff spilled on the AC unit and there’s stuff all over the doors and shampoo bottles. Fourthly the Wi-Fi Password we never received and we could not locate it anywhere. Your staff is extremely rude and very unhelpful. I have called down there to the front desk in which she has not answered on multiple occasions. I am very disappointed by their unhelpful and rude demeanor, which only adds to my frustration. Last but not least I called a week ago prior to booking this and asked about the hot tub and the pool to make sure that these two things were working and although the pool was working, the hot tub was not it was broken. I’m extremely disappointed with his entire stay. I have emailed them as well with no response along with replying to their text that they said to reply back to with no response along with calling front desk with no answer. I would not recommend staying here. Stay...

I will start off by saying that my husband and I stay at LaQuinta's often. My husband is active duty military and we travel very frequently for work and pleasure. We always choose this chain because it's always a good value and excepts pets. Our old dog bella has been staying with us at this chain for 5 years, possibly 30-40 times. An hour before we were set to arrive at this location I received a call from "Mike", asking me when we planned to arrive. I found this odd, because we have stayed many times and no one ever cared when we were arriving. After a 10 hour day of traveling in the car we were ready to be there. Mike noticed that at booking I had indicated I was bringing a pet and asked her weight. She's an old fat Bouvier that weighs 105. He immediately said they don't accept pets that large. That's weird she has stayed at this chain across the country with no issue. I assured him that she would be no trouble and since we were loyal members could he make an exception to a policy that has never been posted on conveyed? He refused and was very rude about it. He suggested we take her to a location about an hour out of our way. Obviously this was unacceptable. How do you call a person an hour before and cancel them? Being that we always stay with this chain it caused us to scramble to find a place. We ended up staying at the quality inn, in the same area. I realized when looking for another hotel that laquinta was booked. Seemed very suspicious that all of a sudden pets are not allowed and I was called at the last minute. Looks like they over booked or made a mistake, and decided that they would cause chaos in my travel plans to make up for it. Very disappointed in laquintas customer service, we had recommended them to so many other military friends who have to travel with pets. However, I think we will be looking elsewhere...
