𝐂𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐌𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐑 & 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐖𝐎𝐋𝐅𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐄 — Restaurant in Memphis

I’ve been a regular customer here for a long time, but after tonight, I won’t be coming back. I placed a DoorDash pickup order for three items for my family’s dinner. When I arrived, they only handed me one bag. I immediately noticed that the chips were missing (which I needed for the dip I ordered), so I went back inside to let them know.

When I got home and unpacked the bag, I realized the dip wasn’t in there at all. I called the restaurant, and they acted like they didn’t know who I was. Once they finally found my order, the manager got on the phone and blamed a DoorDash driver—except I was the one who picked it up myself.

When I went back to get the dip, instead of simply owning the mistake, the manager accused me of taking it. That was offensive, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. I told him directly that he owed me an apology, and instead of actually apologizing, he tried to minimize what he said. I’ve spent my money and time here many times before, and I shouldn’t have to be treated like a liar over a small item they forgot to give me.

What hurt the most was how dismissed I felt in that moment. I walked away feeling like I wasn’t treated with the same care or respect that other customers might have received. No one should ever feel singled out or disrespected because of who they are. This experience was unacceptable, and I refuse to spend another dollar at a place that treats its...

I rarely write reviews, but Cocina Mexicana has blown my standards away every single time i've gone there, and I can't help but share my experience.

We had a bunch of family in town and we ended up ordering for 9 people (including 1 vegetarian) for takeout. I arrived to the store and handed them a note with the entire order on it from each of my family members. Cocina Mexicana was able to get the entirety of every single order correct, and it only took about 20 mins from start to finish to get everyone's order together. That is crazy!

Next, they always give us a ton of food for the price. Each entre can probably feed 2~3 people in their portion sizes, but it's really hard to let it get that far since the food is also really tasty. I know when my family typically gets take out from here, we're unable to finish it all, but some of my family members that came into town enjoyed it enough to finish off the entire plate.

This is probably one of the most affordable restaurants in this area that gives such a large amount of food, I can't recommend it enough. The only complaint we could have is that the food can be a little bland, but with a little extra salt, it works out.

Good service. Very Little wait. Good food Good chips and salsa for the table. Went here after some random lady at Texas Roadhouse yesterday was rude and started turning everyone away from restaurant with me being the first one after opening door and allowing lady in front of me in and not rushing into the restaurant. This wasn’t the women who take names and numbers in booth/counter area. I won’t be back to that restaurant and will be back to this one. I will bring entire family with next visit.

How I rate products, marketing has poisoned peoples thinking into believing anything under 5 stars is not good! 5 Star Its the best possible product period! 4 Star Its an amazing combination of value/quality/functionality. 3 Star It just does what it's supposed to without any major flaw. 2 Star It doesn't meet expectations in price/quality/functionality. Can maybe be made to work with a fair amount of effort on your end. 1 Star Garbage, doesn't deliver it intended function without unacceptable compromise...
