We're usually not ones to give a bad review, but Hooters has gone down over the years. We hadn't been to this location for a while due to service, but it was late night and we thought we'd give it a chance. First, we walk in a was passed up by 3 servers before one reluctantly came over to seat us. The floors and table should have been cleaner. I know it's Hooters, but come on. We ordered and when we received our drinks, they came in a to go cup because they ran out of the plastic cups...ok, no biggie. Next the server takes our order (fish and chips) we asked for tots instead of fries for my husband, and extra tarter. It took quite a while to get our order, and when it arrived, my fries had NO HEAT WHATSOEVER....COLD, and no tartar sauce. The server comes over with an extra order of tots...which we determined was a misunderstanding "extra tartar" not "extra tots". We FINALLY got the server's attention, and asked for fresh fries. We had to ask for them again, then she comes over and says that the cook burned the new order of fries (I'm sure he did because he kept leaving the kitchen and talking on his phone). At this point we're like it's ok...just refill our drink and bring our check...and please refund the fries. Next she comes over with the fries in a to go box that looked overcooked...we said no thanks. She offered other menu items, but at this point I was done. She agreed to give credit for the fries, but the check did not reflect any credit whatsoever. We had to ask a manager (I guess....she was fully dressed), and she could only credit if I allowed her to recharge my card...no thanks! We just paid, but I hate it for the server because she lost a nice tip. Please do better!!! I felt horrible, but I refuse to reward horrible service. Hooters used to be jumping with good service, but this is sad.
*The server would have gotten our usual 20+%, but we got no refills, she kept disappearing, and it seemed like she wasn't...
Read moreI remember the days at Hooters when you went in, the huge Wings and Drummies came out piping hot you could not even touch them and the service would be awesome. Returned back to Hooters 1/19/23 after really not eating out much since CV-19. That is no longer the case. Ordered a 15 piece traditional wings tossed in traditional medium sauce. Of the 15 Wings, received 14 Wings…yes, we counted 3 times due to the huge price increase. Also, 2 Drummies total out of those 14 with the rest being flats and actually no more flats with Tips anymore. 3rdly, hardly any sauce to speak of they were tossed in, and even manager noticed that as well when we pointed out. Remeber when you use to get them, they were just nice and messy with sauce and so hot you could barely pick them up? Just an edge above Luke warm tnite. Now the Mozarella sticks fell into same category…as fast as they came out NO WAY they could have been deep fried that quickly. Not cold, but undercooked and luke warm. after having to go to the Bar to get a refill on my water because we did not see the server for a hot minute after getting our food(place not even 25% full) caught the manager and expressed my concerns. He did not seem surprised and actually thanked me for voicing my concerns. He did give us a $10 discount off the food which i thanked him for. Thing is, we are not looking for a discount..we are looking for great food and great service. With the hike in prices since 2020 I get it…but too many places are hiking the price, cutting portions, and cutting service. Do not think we are not noticing Hooters and other places. I almost felt sorry for the manager as he just did not seem surprised. Come on Hooters…get back to your old self of great food and great service, especially if going to charge the prices you are charging! $30 wasted tonight in...
Read moreUpon arrival requested to dine after online order, Manager stated could not be serve from, had to be serve at bar. Once at bar and food was brought, I brought to bartender on duty that an insect was crawling on serving counter, she in turn killed it and Manager greeted stating she would discount meal ticket, Yet while still attempting to dine at bar counter, another insect which appeared as a Ant was crawling near me and my guest. Bartender was advise again, Manager came to ask "What going on"..wrong answer. At this point Manager left and my guest and I could not tolerate the unprofessional service by both of these employees. In I spoke to bartender employee and advise we cannot continue to dine, at which point upon about leave, she stated we had to pay, I refused due the nature of this incident, she the bartender yell out to call Security, at which time the Manager stated to her I will handle this and to let them. The bartender employee further stated that it was only Fly the first time, on the second attempt to bring it her and the Manager attention, the bartender stated to me" Your sitting at Bar" as to imply that it normal or the practice to serve food to customer onto unsanitary counter with insects crawling on them in the midst of trying eat food. The unprofessional and insulting character of both employees states alot about the integrity of your food chain to which was humiliated by these employees not handling the matter in a better way. Thus to be threatened with call Security being call was more than insult to say the least. Finally, I would like I have been a customer at your Downtown Memphis location and enjoyed the Daytona Beach Wings that I have ordered and was taking the opportunity to share this with my friend. Never Again and will tell other to not support this Restaurant...
